I'm betting we have that guy on team at the moment, he just hasn't had that moment to shine yet. The change from 4-3 to 3-4, along with a coaching change in general, means we have no real way to predict who will emerge here. No one expected Frankie Luvu to take off like he did, but all it took was time on the field and well, just wow. Personally, I want to see Barno just show out and win the starting spot across from Burns.

Smitty was way too short to be a decent WR.
-
With the new coaching, we're going to see some guys start to shine that have been underperforming so far. Can't wait to see who it happens with, hoping it's a ton of them!
-
You have been missed. Hope everything is going great for you.

He's still a young guy and he's been in anything but a good situation since he was drafted. He's got a much better opportunity on his hands now, I'm hoping he can make the most of it and reach his potential.

I like that kid! And I love Smitty. But man, I really miss Moose.

To those who wanted us to hire Sean Payton...
Khyber53 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Me, I'm hoping for a tie that leaves them both on the outside looking in. Can't stand Sean Payton, can't stand Aaron Rogers. We dodged some bullets this off season. -
And here's the newest one I did. Thanks for watching, y'all!

Maybe we should have a few games before we say that we got taken for a ride. We may have also got a bargain. We may have just gotten our money's worth. Sheesh I can't wait for the start of the season so we have actual things to talk about.
-
Then parking, food and beer... Hey, if it's what you enjoy, then it is worth it. For me, I've got a mortgage and two kids to put through college.
-
Neither are worth the money it costs to go to the game, though.

Much like soccer, I've always thought baseball was much more fun to play than to watch.

Yeah, in the end, that's really the world they are working in. The market is a very real place and decisions made within can echo for years, for good or for bad. I think he'll be an excellent pass rusher no matter what, I'd just really love to see him take over games.

This forum is the only place on the Internet where the readers have probably watched every play of his career and said, "Man, he's really good, but is he great?" I'm not saying he's bad by any means, or even average, I'm just saying he hasn't been busting up the opposing team like we've seen other great DEs do in the past. Maybe this move to OLB in a 3-4 will be the key that unlocks his full potential, maybe it will be the new coaching, or maybe just getting out from under the 1967 Cotton Bowl type defense of Snow that he's been saddled with for most of his career. I just don't know. Like I said, he's really, really good but we haven't seen "Save him a spot in Canton" level of play to get that level of money. I'm not saying he has to be the new Julius Peppers, but somewhere between him and Charles Johnson would be help.

He's best on the team, but is he "best in the league" money, though? I wish his stats said he was. Don't get me wrong, I love that he's on our team, but he's not been the "takeover a game" kind of player he needs to be to trying to reset the market. I don't want to see us overpay for potential. Again.

It’s not going to be cheap to retain Derrick Big Baby Brown
Khyber53 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
First off please stop with the really bad player nicknames. Secondly, please quit assuming that just because a player is a starter on our team that they deserve to reset the marketplace with each upcoming contract. Let's be honest, we've been a losing team for five years now and everyone whose contract is eligible for coming off of their rookie ones have been a part of that losing effort. Every single darned one of them. Right now, based on performance, they've earned middle of the pack salary levels at best. Even the mighty Burns. Let's see them lead the league in something, anything, before we start talking about them breaking the banks. -
You nailed the reason right there.

Yep, love the placement of the Panthers, gives us something to work from but gives us some credit for what we've established. My only issue with the rankings are the Jets and Cowboys are too high. I don't believe that the Jets were really a QB away and I've just learned that you can't believe in the Cowboys. Still, so glad to see your work getting noticed in the big leagues! Keep up the good work!

If it is such a great, then Tepper could do it all himself and really reap some incredible rewards. But, honestly, part of what makes it such a money maker for guys like him is that we rubes foot half or more of the bill, then pay for all the tickets, the hotdogs, the parking, the tshirts, the commemorative bath mats... Yeah, let's stop with the corporate welfare, especially for a billionaire's toy. I mean, hey, we enjoy it, they enjoy it. Let's not sully it with tax monies. Now if he wants to cut a deal with us like 51% of the franchise, guaranteed home in Charlotte and a heavier split in all revenues... maybe we could talk. But he won't. He likes us as suckers.

Gosh, I thank you so much! We put an awful lot of work into these and I hope it shows. Really glad to hear you are a fan of our channel! Really makes my day! PS. If there are any cases you want us to cover, just let me know!

As much as I wish it could be a player from another position, it has to be a QB and that QB right now is Mahomes, hands down. Not sure there's another person in the league with more control of the games he plays in than Mahomes. Brady, Montana, Marino, Staubach, Unitas, Graham... I don't think any of them were quite as dominant in each game as he is.

The new one that hit today:

Was talking about a winning team would do wonders for attendance. But I also firmly believe football was meant to be played on natural grass.
