  1. This defensive scheme was not successful with Rhule/Snow. The entire team was terrible today. New coaches will be here in January
  2. This season is a lost cause. They are trying to win with fired coaches players that don’t fit the scheme they want to run. Nobody can defend what we saw today but it does not matter as a new regime will start in January.
  3. If I’m not mistaken, I read somewhere that Wilks did not agree with the defense Snow built…one reason was he thought they were too light and needed more size.
  4. Step one is to get the right coaching staff so they can pick their guy. Everyone thought Lawrence was a pro ready, can’t miss QB coming out of Clemson. Obviously he is still young, but he is not performing up to expectations so far. And Doug Peterson is an outstanding offense guy…. Zach Wilson also not doing great. Who knows about Trey Lance but so far not too good. I think a lot of these QBs success is tied into having the right coaches that can build a system around their strengths. Josh Allen fell into the Bills and they surrounded him with great coaching. Same with Tavares Jackson. Of course they have the talent but you also need coaching and be put in the right situation.
  5. How much money did Rhule make from Tepper? Wow...just wow. To be that bad at your job and make that much money is insane.
  6. This is a non-story. I actually thought this game was well officiated...for once. No stupid calls and no blatant non-calls. Actually the best Panthers 'officiated' game all year
  7. If the defense even glances in Brady’s direction it is going to be a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty.
  8. It is very clear how the roughing the passer works in the NFL. All of the 'star QB's' will get the call every time the defense gets close enough to breathe on them. If you don't have a 'star QB' the defense can do whatever they want. If the defense gets within 3-feet of Brady, they will call it. They might as well play flag football.
  9. Agree this is all on Tepper. He should have fired Rhule and the entire staff in January and hit a full reset for this season. This is a wasted season…
  10. Technically that is the second interception that Stafford his thrown today.
  11. The PI on Jackson was brutal as it negates the interception
  12. This team has playmakers on offense and defense. The QB position has not been good, but this offense has solid to above avg WR's, solid Oline, and one of the best RB's in the game. TE would be an area of opportunity. If the QB could just play 'average', I say they win against Cleveland and the Giants and are 3-2 vs 1-4. Baker has been awful, and much worse than his play in Cleveland. Have to wonder if it is a scheme issue for him because he is surrounded by talent.
  13. It is amazing how a billionaire (Tepper) and a multi-millionaire (Rhule) can make so many stupid mistakes. I think most of us were shocked at the huge contract for Teddy, the dumping of him, and then the big trade for Sam (giving up a early 2nd round pick), along with guaranteeing his 5th year option. Yet unbelievably, the Panthers actually did these things. I could see Tepper moving the Panthers away from the Carolinas 'due to not being able to get a new stadium or new practice facilities'. Not a fan of his.
  14. Tepper does not come across as “likeable”. If his handlers were smart they would not put him out in front of cameras anymore.
  15. My question is why is he so bad? He was not this bad in Cleveland. I believe that the offense the Panthers are running does not fit his strengths. McAdoo is on record saying he did not want to draft Baker. I wonder if he was forced on McAdoo even though he does not fit his offensive scheme. Also McAdoo’s offense looks terrible…why? I mean this guy has had some success in the NFL. I will be interested to see if Rhule was micromanaging the offense and that’s the reason why it looks so bad. I guess we will find out but with a 4th string QB it will be hard to know. This team has playmakers on offense and they have a solid O-line. This offense should not be this bad I have to wonder if Mcadoo and Baker are just a bad marriage.
  16. I thought the same thing...that Eason is the son of Tony Eason of the 1987 draft. While his father is Tony Eason...I don't believe it is the NFL Tony Eason.
  17. Ben Navarro.....and he would have been a great Panther's owner for a number of reasons. Guaranteed the Panthers would be in a much better situation right now if he had 'won' the bid.
  18. Navarro was my choice of potential owners to buy the Panthers........
  19. I agree. If Tepper was smart, he would realize that people would have a lot more respect for him if he admitted his mistake, and corrected it. It really is the elephant in the room....everyone knows he messed up...just come clean and move on. This team has some good players...get the right coach, and they could be competitive.
  20. LOL. We are arguing which year was the worst Panther year. It is more interesting than talking about the game! Tepper is a terrible owner....we can all agree on that. Rhule should have been fired last year and a new coach/regime should be in place now.
  21. The defense and special teams played well. This offense reminds me of 2010 when the Jimmy was QB
  22. So why didn't Tepper just hire Doug Pederson when he was available?
  23. In 2020, DJ had 1,200 receiving, Robbie had 1,100 yards and Curtis had 800 yards….and the QB was Teddy. It seems like the QB position has gotten worse each year. How did the Panthers go from there to where they are now? This team has playmakers, 2-3 above avg WR’s, a revamped o-line, one of the best RB in the game…..but can’t score points. The Panthers offense was more dynamic and exciting when Kyle Allen was the QB. I do not think this is all on Mayfield…it seems like “they” are not setting this team up to be successful.
