I don’t see one qb in this draft worth taking at 6. I’m hoping Fitt does his usual trade down and doesn’t do something stupid.
-
I’m just not liking all the one year deals. It’s like the Panthers have a philosophy that the 53 man roster is an eternal revolving door. That being said, I would give the off-season a solid B-.

David Newton's "cryptic" comment got me to thinkin

If Fitterer and Rhule honestly think there’s a franchise qb in this draft I am freaking scared to death. There is not one guy who showed enough to make that statement about. People talking about Pickett who had exactly ONE good year and want him at 6??? -
That’s what I’m saying. Rhule demanded that we give up three picks for Darnold, he should be forced to win or lose with Darnold.
-
I’m ok with Darnold starting. Rhule doesn’t deserve to have Cam bail him out after all the buses he threw him under. Darnold starts… we suck…Rhule is fired… new HC drafts our franchise QB
-
You can play till you’re 70 when the refs throw flags if someone breathes on you.
-
What if Rhule woke up one day and suddenly transformed into a HOF HC… that’s how much of a chance you have of Darnold being something he wasn’t last year.
-
I hope Rhule is Pissed

Why would he be pissed about a basketball game? -
From what I’m hearing the new o-line coach really likes Brady at LT. If they think he can do it I can see them trading down or possibly getting Hamilton.
-
Besides losing out in the Watson sweepstakes Fitterer and Morgan have worked some freaking magic. With the additions on the o-line, finally getting a legit short yardage rb, four time pro bowl punter they have done some work. And no I refuse to give Rhule any credit for this.

This is worse than 28-3 and I fugging love it.

Three top 10 QB's refused to play for Matt Rhule.
mc52beast replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Supposedly Watson wanted the Panthers to guarantee years three and four and Panthers didn’t want to. This could be the only thing that kept him from Charlotte. -
Not only did we lose the Watson sweepstakes, we lost to a team that just lost their(possibly) HOF coach and another team who’s roster is a complete freaking mess… Welcome to Tepper’s Land of Rhuledom
-
Once again the team of Tepper and Rhule fail to get the job done. Personally I’m glad we’re out of it, but for a guy like Tepper who has been saying he wants a franchise qb to fail on the big stage has to be utterly embarrassing for him… Maybe he now realizes he should’ve dumped Rhule.

David Tepper - Come on in here and get this humble pie

Yeh, you would think that we could find someone saying something negative about him. Not even the guys who have left are talking. -
Baker Mayfield Requests Trade from Browns + UPDATE

Just another decent qb who will never be a franchise leading qb… but hey, let’s waste more money on a qb. -
We have a desperate owner and a desperate HC. If we don’t get Watson anything is possible.
-
All I needed to read was that he was never particularly good… he’ll fit right in with Rhule’s other never particularly good pieces.
-
Yeh, let’s waste some more money on a guy who won’t be around in 1-2 years. Can we all just agree that there isn’t an available vet capable of being our franchise qb except for Watson? Why do we need two bridge qb’s on this team????
-
A hopeful non-Watson scenario that doesn't mortgage the future
mc52beast replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
Don’t quite understand why people want to throw more money at a vet who obviously won’t be playing for us in 1-2 years. The focus of our up-coming draft and FA should be fixing an o-line that has been broke for a long time. Get that right, plug some other holes and if a qb does drop and we don’t have to use much draft capital to get him then do that. -
How about the fact that the Aints are the absolute best at kicking that can…
-
If we don’t get Watson you will have a desperate owner and a desperate HC making desperate decisions. 10 times out of 10 that ends in disaster.
-
That would be great if the NFL didn’t have a salary cap and he could buy up all the talent. He has proven that the guy with the most money doesn’t always win, you have to actually know what you’re doing.
