  1. As if it was that easy, there is still 11 games left. We will be looking at QBs going forward, might not be a better option out there this offseason or have the option of justifying him being here next year ( cough Teddy cough) taken off the table. Dude is a vet next year, he is what he is at this point. He's a moth and not a butterfly at this point. I think Tepper is going to realize he needs to sell tickets and Darnold is unlikely to do that at this point, I expect him to put more pressure than last year to improve that spot though I wouldn't rule out a developmental QB leaving us with another year of what we are facing down again this year.
  2. Looks like we are a team built on speed and Dallas gave the entire NFL the recipe to win vs this D. We need another big man up front, even with a healthy YGM, to run this D effectively every week. Until then, just run it at us until that speed is tired and there isn't much we can do about it.
  3. I'm down with going ahead and getting some picks for him. We are not making a run this year, let's get some ammo for the offensive rebuild. Any contenders out there looking for a CB? Could be a win-win for us and him.
  4. Yeah don't want Wilson or Watson, hard passes. Why would Rogers want to come here? Just don't see it. Meh, as long as we don't throw a big contract or draft capital on a retread, it's just another year of treading water. This crew has shown 2 years in a row, they can't fix or even put their reclamation projects in good positions, with years of tape on the projects. Maybe change up the OC and see what the new guy wants to do, I don't trust anyone else's input on the poopshow we call our offense at this point.
  5. I think it would be hilarious if we just didn't show up to the next one, like it's not even worth it, even at if it's at home. Thursdays are just bad football nights, most of the games are complete ass. Not enough preparation, not enough time to heal up...all to be rushed out for a crap product and a late night I don't need. I don't watch any other Thursday night games or Monday night games anymore, just not worth it.
  6. Panther's new mascot. But Sam was ok...lol. That's like picking your favorite turd.
  7. We should beat NYG but the window of medcraty includes laying a turd. Mediocre teams do mediocre stuff so anything is possible in this match-up. At this point we can say we are not one of the bottom dweller NFL teams but we are neighbors... This game is as soft as it gets in the NFL, like half of our schedule. This is a must win for Rhule.
  8. He is what he always was. He has better coaching and roster here but that's not enough on it's own to clear mediocre. I never wanted Sam but he isn't Clausen bad. That helped get us Cam at #1, a tough feat looking at the bottom couple of teams. He is a good backup or a placeholder starter in the NFL, nothing to indicate he is a good long-term QB option other than blind optimism.
  9. How much do you have to hate Cam to want him back when we still don't have our crap together? I hope he finds a spot later in the year on a contender. It's a mercy he doesn't come back here right now. Too desperate and very mediocre. We spent a 2nd on Sam, no way to flip it this year. Just suck it up and go out to be a mediocre team.
  10. Orders ketchup on his steak and gets ketchup on his steak...
  11. It's not at all an evaluation of the draft class overall, that takes years. It's just about brining in guys to contribute this year which we all knew we needed. There was so much hype after the draft about how great it was and reality has just not been kind to date. Draftniks in the media are mostly PFF level garbage entertainment. The only one I look for every year is Verge here. And it's not like the professionals with jobs don't have issues with their values either, Hurney kept his job for 14 years being very bad overall.
  12. CB breaks bones in his foot without contact, token WR and not a needed OG or C, 25 year old LT our coaches now see as a weak playing RT. Yeah, that was the hope Brown could add more positives to the RB and TE we got. Ohh and a long snapper for next year. That isn't good. My hopes and dreams were more playable rookies.
  13. It's not fear of him getting hurt, it's already a two year's of proof it's happening now. He is a freak, I would put $5 down on him being the best WR we have after switching positions. As for the rest, I just disagree. Blocking and getting tackled by men from the trenches is a hell of a lot worse on the body.
  14. And suddenly this draft class looks meh as hell. Yikes, what a slide to reality.
  15. I predict less then good football and lots of alcohol.
  16. He already is a great receiver that plays out of the backfield. I would rather have him on the field then traded, with whatever the cap implications are. If Curtis Samuels can do it when healthy, CMC can blow the doors off doing it.
  17. If he converted to WR he would be making a little more than Anderson and has a hell of a lot more upside. Not many RBs could do that and he was raised by a damn good one. His body doesn't look ruined, yet. Not asking him to constantly be hit by and having to block 300 lbs guys would do wonders for his health. He is still the most talented guy on the team, by a stretch. It's time to have the talk with him and if he want's to remain at RB then I think it's a good time to start looking at options. The notion it's wasted money is lame, it's wasted talent. It was the same with Cam, pissing away talent because the staff can't put anything decent around him while asking him to carry the offense and be the scheme.
  18. Expecting a RB to carry the offense on his shoulders every game and be the lead rusher, catcher and blocker is bitting us in the rear.
  19. It is a fair question at this point for sure.
  20. The are zero good known reasons to keep him off the field in at least support capacity at this point. Is he having meatal health issues, facing unknown legal issues or possible having a surprise male pregnancy? No? Then how could he be worse and still taking up a roster spot? I get the late round rookie needs time to adjust and all of that but the bar can't get any lower. Just play the man at least some if he is worth a roster spot.
