  1. Only if/when CMC goes down. He is basically a backup for what CMC does in the passing game...minus the excellent blocking. Don't really care as it stands, another guy for the coaches who should be gone soon.
  2. True but that is also what a wildcard team probably looks likein the NFC this year, good enough to score but shut down by a really good team. Opening against KC is brutal lol.
  3. First non-Panthers game I watched in a while and I just found myself enjoying watching them. Just really good football.
  4. This is who Baker always was, it's just his worst version as Rhule delivers with his QBs. He is not a franchise QB but he is good enough to work with a rookie HC with time to find a franchise QB...for the right price.
  5. When he was hired I went and watched videos of him speaking. It was then and it was obvious he was full of BS. I cheered for him the first year anyways but he proved it completely in the second offseason. He fleeced Hurney and Tepper for so much money and is wasted 3 years of Panther football. Fug him
  6. The coaching improvment debate glossed over 'better is not automatically good' part for way too many and it soulds like baseless hope is shifting now. I would still take the lot trying to keep in the NFL vs waiting to get fired and run back to the easy school game of fleecing grown children with their bags of money anyday. Even if it won't be good it should be slightly better.
  7. Naw. Just fire them both and hand it over to the interm coaches we picked up. Let the ST guy do the HC stuff and McAdoo and Wilks cordinators. Every game becomes an audition in live action practice. It would be such an instant improvement over that duo of endless BS.
  8. The same people that threw emotion agaisnt facts and concerns blindly going farther down the delusional rabithole? I am shocked, shocked I say
  9. He still hasn't shown any ability to field an NFL quality unit on either sides. Lots of speed but without a clear and functional vision it really doesn't matter. Neither he nor Snow have adpted well and this year should finally be the nail in their expensive NFL coffins.
  10. I agree with all except I think this is the coaches vision...which is why I can't wait for them to be fired so we can start talking about improvement and not waste.
  11. He was a great coach, he certainly slipped the last few years but he was a very suscseful HC. The fact is the odds of him wining a SB with another team is higly agaisnt him. That was my main point. I would expect some of the same stuff they had from McCarthy tho I 100% think Payton is a better coach by far.
  12. The meltdowns are delicious this morning
  13. No HC has won a second SB with another team is the stat I belive. They can have him and would obviously not have learned from the McCarthy hire. I want an NFL O cordinator as the next HC.
  14. Dropped snaps, batted down passes that Cleveland specifically prepared for and some easy stats on some broken 1st week plays. We could do a lot worse but we can and should try to do a lot better. He is who he always has been. He will never be a Brees. He will be lucky to top 4k in yards with his play style that relys on pounding the ball first.
  15. I think 20 touches is about right. The playcalling just made it look worse. We should have come out running, not passing. Work the passing game in slowly after that. Use CmC early, then rotate heavy and have him ready for the end of the first half. Just more poor scheming and playcalling. We need better coaches.
  16. Both guys I didn't want as HC. McCarthy is toast anyways with Jones in charge. I can see Rhule as a worse coach but also outlasting McCarthy for a few weeks if Jones pulls the triger after a bad start for them.
  17. No LBer would look good behind this line. Even Luke was damn near nulified by a weak run stoping line in another mismached D scheme before he retired.
  18. Scheme is a failure in the NFL and the players are mismatched. The Dline should be more size and power yet it is small and fast.
  19. Who are his competitors now in that race? He stands out this year.
  20. We will win some games but yeah it is that bad. The Rhule implosion begins. Soon the chants start. The media will be ruthless to the weakest to pick on in the 24 hour cycle for entertainment. Rhule is in for a rough ride. Mirroring that 3rd year in school really isn’t happening.
  21. We have the Brand with the Process. What could go wrong?
  22. Wilson had a nice blitz on an oblivious backup QB. Didn't seem like much and no real pressure from the front 4. It's just not a balanced D, in itself or with the O they run.
  23. I agree but I also don't see anything but worse if Tepper picked his own GM from scratch. He has shown no signs of competency to date. Might was well give Friterer a couple of years with a new HC and hope Tepper comes out somewhat more knowledgeable if he was doing a complete house cleaning. Give me Peters from the 49ers and I would be thrilled to see who he hires as a HC. Lots of possible GMs and HCs, I just don't trust Tepper in all of that.
  24. Tepper needed Hurney to hire Rhule. No way he hires a competent GM solo at this time. Friterer will get a swing at it and I hope he works out...or that Tepper learns enough by then to make the kind of hires at GM and HC that we all wanted pre-Rhule.
