Official Panthers at Dolphins Playoff Push GameDay thread
Waldo replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's another bad team so we should show up. That's how Rhule rolls I guess, he did back in school. -
5 plays analyzed from WFT game worth the watch
Waldo replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
The DTs are not playing up to what this scheme needs. With Riddick & Burns used as standup DEs, the DTs need to push 3 freaking guys backwards. I'm just not seeing any push or penetration. It's either get better play or add another guy upfront. Chinn should just be moved to Carter's spot, we have enough DBs to play at this time and he would not be sitting with his thumb up his butt like Carter. Fun watch. -
I can't tell with out all 22. Which Dlinemen were in? Scheme and personnel matter in this conversation. I love the Burns & Riddick combo but it looks lite up front at times this year. Also, what about moving Chinn back to roaming LBer and out of Safety? Just put a CB in his spot and let Chinn come back up with Shaq on the 2nd level. I don't know how bad or ok Carter is playing, the scheme looks off at times where the matchups are not looking very favorable.

Young hates Cam because Cam destroyed his 1 pass TD and 1 rushing TD per game record.

Happy Thanksgiving! What Panthers related thanks are you giving?
Waldo replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm thankful Cam came back and giving me a reason to watch any more games this year. I am thankful for an owner that will fire this staff if they keep coaching like losers. I am thankful everyone's fate is in their own hands and there are ZERO reasons for excuses the rest if this year. Keep pounding. -
He is a rookie and a CB, if he is healthy he should play. No rush but 100% get reps in if possible. Great news, hope he keeps trending that way. I would love to see him out there with Gilmore. We could finally have 2 great man CBs on the field at the same time! That's not something I could have imagined 3 years ago.

Missing on Slater was a huge miss. Hopefully BC can channel his inner Armstead, but healthier.

That's because Atlanta ane Carolina are in the NFC South....

I will watch and I will drink. The rest is meh with this team right now. I just don't belive in the people in charge and they haven't done enough to earn much enthusiasm or respect. Our best move this year came from the owner forcing the HC's hand. So keep pounding them drinks people.

Just play 3 DTs at all times except 3rd and long. Burns and Reddick as Edge/DE.

Crap rolls or slides down hill. Owner, Coach and then Players. If the Players were coached right they would play better, If the Owner hires the right coach and applies healthy pressure & support the Coaches do their jobs well. Not much we can do about Ownership except what they do to themselves. If the players play like crap that is 100% on the coaches. It's literally their jobs to get the players prepared and focused or yank them when they are getting killed. That's like saying it's not a manager's job when employees are fugging up, it's their job to address it. Players are responsible for their play, not how the coaches prepare or manage them in games. That is equivalent to saying Gilmore was at fault for not deciding to cover McLaurin on his own. It's a dumb argument and a waste of your brain cells sir.
-
Only because the amazing Daley went down with an injury... Same old song with a different staff.
-
100% correct. Tepper brought in Cam. The poop rolled down to Rhule now and he and his staff took it right in the face.
-
Yeah he is a rookie. That was his worst play. Now do the guys that are vets... Hey they picked the 25 year old LT, play him. I'd rather know this year he is trash like the rest. Maybe we get a nice surprise. But yeah, he is going to do rookie things.
-
I would much rather build a better Oline, like at least 3 new starters. Then I would feel like talking about downfield. Looking like a new OC to boot and we might not need a new deep threat. Don't know, the staff is underperforming so hard it's difficult to evaluate the players. Guys started to catch once Sam left, who knows what would happen if we found one guy to play OG who wasn't awful.
-
I'm not comparing us to anything good, just ourselves where we didn't score for the better part of 4 games. That's improving where the D regressed hard. You are not wrong sir. It's still not good enough and I didn't intend to come off that way. Edit: Our QB was also on the team for a little over a week. I'm not happy with Brady but there is a curve we should see every week moving forward going up or else.
-
Absolutely. I'm not one to think you can only work on one thing at a time. Still, that D was on the field except one possession by the Offense in the 3rd? That's after a halftime breather...WTF was 6 of 13 on 3rd down and 2 for 2 on 4th down while we were 2 for 9 on 3rd down and 1 for 3 on 4th down. We failed everywhere really.
-
lol

The Oline coach should be fired. Let's see what anyone else can do with that mess. Bye Jackson, not the leader we hoped for and in no way do I want to see a big contract go that way. Yesterday was only one game if you discount the 3 years before. Brady better pick it up or it's sounding like he is going to be the sacrifice to Tepper going into year three. Still, it wasn't the Offense that lost that game and Rhule has spent two year building up a D that crumbled when the O was putting points on the board...
-
PFF is trash but BC passed the eye test and yet again raises the question: WTF are they thinking not starting this guy? He isn't a mauler but the LG getting killed isn't his fault. Looks good in pass protection and needs improvement in the run. Fantastic for a LT considering what the play has been there.
-
Rhule needs to earn his 3rd year. After the last game he has to come out and prove he can adapt and make it work week to week. He was gifted a QB to help his O score points. After Darnold that is a miracle. If he can't coach this team into taking a big step and string together some wins then doing a year 3 is just going through the motion and is a complete waste of time. Even Ron had to win 6 of the last 7 games in 2012 to earn a chance to come back and show he was Riverboat Ron in 2013. Nothing I have see from Rhule makes me belive he can finish strong this year. If that is the case, clean house and get better people. Maybe a halfway qualified staff this time. If he earns it I will be happy to see a year three. The offseason would be a huge test after the turd they laid this year.

Another Thing that Bugged Me About Rhule (Miller>Scott)
Waldo replied to Castavar's topic in Carolina Panthers
All of that. Scott over Miller. Gilmore saving Jackson from embarrassment. Ohh and add in BC over Daily because we all know Daily is a great LT...lol Huge mistakes that make me wonder WTF their evaluations are in personnel usage.
