  1. To an extent (I don't think they're as good as their record indicates) but Sean Payton never really had a drop-off in New Orleans the way Harbaugh has had in Baltimore the last few seasons. Plus, there is a good argument to be made (as much as I hate saying it) that the Saints should have made at least one - if not two - Super Bowls toward the end of Payton's tenure. They had the fluke Minneapolis Miracle play one year that knocked them out and then got screwed by the refs on that P.I. no-call against the Rams the next year. Plus, Payton did that with an aging Drew Brees. Harbaugh has had prime Lamar Jackson (albeit dealing with injuries at times) and has only made one AFC Championship during Lamar's time there. Granted, you can put some of that on Lamar as well, but not all of it.
  2. I'm OK with picking up the 5th year option (mostly because there aren't any clear long-term better options likely to be available in the offseason) but I need to see a lot more consistency before I'd support a full-on contract extension.
  3. Harbaugh is going to be some team's big mistake. Mark my words; this is Pete Carroll to the Raiders all over again. Longtime successful coach gets a new job based off past success but it ends up going horribly.
  4. Bullshit. No chance the Packers have reached out to Harbaugh.
  5. I just pretend he was our 1st rounder in 2024 instead of XL.
  6. Christ on a cracker, that schedule is brutal. Granted, you never know what teams will be good from year to year with 100% certainty, but on paper that's just brutal.
  7. Perhaps, but I'm guessing he completed more of these attempts this season for more yards than the previous two seasons. But I could be wrong. I'd be interested to see some stats on that.
  8. The fact that any referee or crew of referees favor home or away teams is insane. These stats should be looked at by the league after every season and dismissals made as needed.
  9. Rams probably win, but I won't be shocked if we pull the upset.
  10. fug all the anti-fans who rooted against this team. Take y'all asses on down the street and find another team.
  11. Me, too. But they lost. Now they can still get in with a Saints loss. Why would any fan root against their team making the playoffs?
  12. Anyone rooting AGAINST the Panthers making the playoffs needs to reevaluate their status as a fan of this team. There's no good reason not to want to win a division title at this point. We're not protecting a top-5 draft pick here. We have nothing to gain by not making the playoffs. Anyone rooting for the Saints is just a miserable excuse for a fan who just wants something to bitch and moan about.
  13. I get wanting us to lose during a lost season if it means a higher draft pick. But at this point there's no good reason to root for a loss this week. All the people thinking a loss will mean Bryce is cut/benched/traded and/or Canales is fired aren't living in reality. Whatever your thoughts are on either of them, there is ZERO chance we don't bring both back next season regardless of the result on Saturday.
  14. Malik Willis at QB here with Matt Rhule - and later Frank Reich - would have been a disaster for his career. He went to one of the best places he could for his development and wasn't forced onto the field before he was ready.
  15. We've long since blown past getting a top-10 pick. We might as well win the goddamn division.
