He did not and he sprained his thumb on his throwing hand during the NW game. He was not only missing Olave, but also the WR coach. So no number 1 target, part of the offensive staff, and and injury on his throwing hand. How did he fair up against them the previous year? 4 TDs 0 INTs and a 52-3 win. I’m telling COVID messed up their season, but it may work out great for us if we can land him.

If we can manage Fields and and a LT in round 2, I will be thrilled and we should have a solid young core on defense and offense.

Are we liking Fields enough to take him at 8 or trade up for him if needed?

Sweet. I hope ATL takes him at 4. Lawrence, Wilson, Mac, Pitts, leaves both Fields and Lance with 3 picks until us. We could trade with the Bengals at 5 or Dolphins at 6 to get Fields/Lance which hopefully wouldn’t cost too much since it’s only 3/2 spots...

Didn’t play many games, didn’t throw much when he did and it was against lesser competition. He just need reps to catch up to the speed of the game at the NFL level, but yeah I think he can play this year.

I think they are comfortable with a few. I mean in theory someone could move up to 2 and take their guy it if is just one player right? Getting an up close view of Fields strength and speed might be the final verification they need. I guess it’s just very surprising they want Mac like you are saying. (Totally not doubting you though. Yeah 24 different people that he happen to reach out to for massages this past year all decided to lie on legal documents and put their career and lives on the line for money they may never see? The higher the number the more likely it is this happened. If it was just the one from the beginning that wanted money before going public it would look a lot believable on his part.

Yeah I think we stay at 8. If something crazy happens like the Niners pick Mac or the Falcons don’t draft a QB and the guy we want is there at 5, we might trade with the Bengals. From 8 to 5 should only cost next year’s first. Otherwise we draft our LT or trade back.

LT or trade down at 8. Look at Mills and Newman in the mid rounds.

Or trade down to acquire picks in the next draft that can be used to get a QB. You definitely don’t want to go 2 years without a first to draft a QB who might bust...
