  1. was one of the only positives from the game yesterday in addition to the interior o line playing much better than last year
  2. well we did get our asses fuging pounded so that checks out chief
  3. yea AR would have been a solid pick too. I agree on the culture thing but I just can't see them actually giving up on Bryce after one year and one game. Not saying that Bryce gives us the best chance to win, I don't think he does
  4. I was thinking that live, actually a good route by XL and if it's a well thrown ball that's a TD, instead it's just another errant throw
  5. that's the secret we trade the number one pick and get more picks so we have more chances to actually get something right
  6. I bet Bryce young would be very good at flag football, I say that in jest and seriously that it doesn't surprise me he wow'd everyone with practice reps and in shorts.
  7. He is absolutely awful with any sort of pressure in his face. He doesn't have the requisite arm talent to overcome bad mechanics, which are shoddy at their best.
  8. It's impossible to know HOW much he meddles but there are very credible nfl insiders like Ben Albright who have alluded to him having way, way too much input into the day to day operations. It's undisputed however that he has earned a reputation which will prevent us from landing top tier coaches or GM candidates. No one is going to want to come here.
  9. The only cautionary tale I'm taking for Bryce is if/when we have the number one overall pick this year and there isn't an undisputed sure fire guy to take at one. Do exactly what Chicago did and trade out of the pick and get future assets. Bryce is not good but this team DESPERATELY needs talent at almost every single position. Stop trying to be 'just one guy' away. We do this every year. Just accept we are bad and build up slowly by taking literal BPA and every trade down possible.
  10. honestly sitting him may be worse for us in the long run. Dalton plays and we may actually win some games. Is now a bad time to remind you guys I wanted Stroud after his rose bowl game performance against Utah?
  11. I don't think we have pressured Carr once today. going to be a very long season, defense is noticeably worse than last year
  12. as it stands right now yes, I think stats back that up too
  13. benching him is probably the worst thing we can do honestly. you either keep him in and he figures it out (unlikely) or he proves he isn't the guy and earns us the number one overall pick
  14. didn't think we would look overall worse than last year but we do
  15. Whos Jalen Dalton When your long snapper (38-year-old JJ Jansen), backup quarterback (36-year-old Jalen Dalton), and punter (34-year-old Johnny Hekker) are three of your four oldest dudes, that's OK
  16. ^^^^^ Absolutely remarkable how little talent this team has to have a salary cap this fuged
  17. one thing that stands out to me is if that he gets a free release he could be a legit deep deep threat
  18. Not giving up on a guy who we knew was going to take a second to develop and missed a good portion of his rookie offseason with injury
  19. need to see Bryce hit more throws like this one he misses here this year No suprise but he has pressure in his face so it makes it difficult but great QBs make this even with pressure
  20. DJ, Thielen, Mingo, XL are locks I think Marshall has earned a spot if we can't trade him That leaves ISM, David Moore and Jalen Coker competing for the last spot ISM provides PR/KR upside, David Moore is a veteran w/ some of that, and Coker needs time but could be a diamond in the rough. Ideally I'd keep 7 with ISM and Coker but even more ideal would getting Coker stashed on our PS
  21. There's no sense in cutting him if you aren't keeping someone that can contribute. This team is not overflowing with talent yall. Thomas can still be a good run blocking TE
  22. I think a very reasonable conspirary theory is that when Frank was hired his pitch was trade up to #2 overall and get Stroud as it was highly speculated Houston was trading up to #1 for Bryce. When Fitterer pulled the trigger to go to one everything changed.
