  1. So I feel like the following offseason plan is realistic, posted this in another thread. 1 Re-sign Jansen, Luvu and Burns 1a. If unable to resign Burns to reasonable deal, franchise him, if unable to trade let him play out franchise tag or try to trade him mid season. 2 Extend DB 3 Sign Calvin Ridley (1-2 year high incentive deal) backup Curtis Samuel 4 Sign Rasheed Shaheed backup Mack Hollins (1 year high incentive deal) 5. Sign Trent Brown for depth 6. Sign a random Guard (pick anyone) 7. See if YGM comes back on a low cost one year deal to prove last year wasn't a fluke, otherwise sign vet pass rusher 8. Try like hell to trade Hayden Hurst and Miles Sanders (won't happen) Did this mock earlier; you guys will hate it but this team desperately needs to build from the inside to out right now, we are NOT one to two sexy WR's away from being good. Things I want to do this offseason: retain our good core players: Luvu, DB and Burns; not fug our future cap space up that much in FA. Draft *good* players, regardless of position. When in doubt trade down and acquire more picks or future capital. This team should be doing everything in its power to build slowly. Next year is a wash as is. It's the year after and beyond I'm concerned with ESPECIALLY if we have to move off Bryce Young

  3. to me that makes sense to do with a rookie, CJ stroud is the exception to the rule. Now the hope is your QB develops enough to be able to elevate the offense. I don't think that's impossible for Bryce to do but I think his margin to achieve that is vanishingly narrow
  4. I don't think this team is anywhere close to being "one guy away", so I agree with everyone saying BPA. If the guy is a DT but a stud we could use that. If he's a G and a stud we could use that. CB, DE, TE, WR, etc. I don't think there is a single position I'd be upset with drafting outside of RB (value) or S (value)
  5. I think it's too early to grade but I am not optimistic it will end up being good. Kind of like when you start a book and think..."this isn't very good, but maybe it will get better" Sometimes it does and sometimes you finish the book and think "wow, that was a total waste of time" For me the biggest thing is missing on Bryce if he doesn't pan out. Now critics will say we traded away too much. I disagree. I still believe it was a fair trade, and if we end up taking Stroud no one gives a fug what you gave up. I just think we probably picked the worst of the top 3 guys That being said our wagon is hitched to Bryce for at least one more if not two more seasons so I'm praying he does turn it around
  6. do you have insider info here? What are the chances a longterm deal gets done?
  7. Love you Verge but I would be pretty upset if this is how things turned out
  8. Someone is lying I just don't know who is. Person is reporting Burns asked for 30 a year and was offered 5 mill 27 mill. Early this year it was reported that the Panthers offered the Crosby contract ~23.5 mill a year That being said, the Panthers have been DRAGGED this entire year for not trading burns and then "not trying to sign him". If they offered him 5 years 27 mill a year that is a very fair deal and we can stop saying they "didn't do anything to sign him"
  9. I loved Jameson Williams as a prospect but he is getting vastly overrated in these scenarios, he is not worthy of a first round selection at this point on his own, I could see the Lions getting a third rounder for him at best
  10. sorry spamming this thread today but in this simulator tenn is trading that first like hot cakes
  11. this would be so ideal
  12. Yes it is absolutely brutal we traded away the first overall pick. I legitimately think about it at least once a day, but I still think we can get a good player at 33 and 65 and that also doesn't include a trade down scenario and maybe get three good players
  13. dude holy poo brock bowers at 33 lmaoooo
  14. This would never ever happen but I thought it was a fun scenario, got away not trading our first round pick next year too
  15. your first five picks would be an insane haul
  16. UNC is too inconsistent to win the title this year. They will have a clunker in the tourney against someone. Before you come berate me this is coming from a UNC fan
  17. He's been playing out of position since his rookie year
  18. Luvu and Burns should be priorities. Chinn is a damn good player we have playing out of position. JJ Jansen is a must sign Otherwise unless the rest of them unless they are playing for below market value contracts they can get out.
  19. unless Canales plans on having a power run game this offensive line will struggle. Bozeman regressed hard last year Corbett is coming off major knee injuries in back to back years BC at best was a mediocre guard Ickey, as of right now, has zero confidence and is playing terribly. Moton is the only one who doesn't need to be upgraded at this point Now obviously you can't replace 4/5 starters in one offseason but we desperately need to get quality depth in FA and draft young players at G and/or C
  20. Bengals would be silly to lose him for nothing, always thought this was a possibility. Micahel Pittman is a more realistic target imo as I can forsee Indy making a big trade for Brandon Aiyuk
