Prime Cam plugged into this roster what happens?
frankw replied to Ricky Prickles's topic in Carolina Panthers
Anyone that acts as if Super Bowl 50 came down to one singular play is just being a disingenuous fool. The entire team was in a funk. They lost focus. That includes Cam Newton. Our head coach being stubborn didn't help matters either. We lost that Super Bowl as a team from top to bottom. Although I will point out coincidentally Kony Ealy of all people seemed to be the most fired up about trying to change the course of that game late. That pretty damn well sums it up. -
He hired Hurney not once but twice. And for all the talk of our culture. Honestly the culture through our best years was always due to a few key players like Sam Mills Steve Smith Jake Delhomme Cam Newton Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis. They were the engine for that. But at the same time it was under JR's watch that our culture at times took on a "just happy to be here" mentality. Think overpaying guys in 2010. Think saying absolutely nothing to the NFL about our MVP quarterback being headhunted in the 2016 season. Now there are all these rules to protect QB's. Meh. We need better than Both Richardson and Tepper.

Shiiiiiiiit Bryce Young wishes he had as much swag as Puss in Boots. -
He's entitled to his opinion. Even if it makes no sense as it suggests the 47 points given up by the defense happened in a vacuum without having been directly affected by the putrid performance of the starting quarterback.

Keyword from Luke: Accountability. Mentions that multiple times. Interesting the conversation is shaped around the Steelers game in 2018. Truly this franchise aside from a few very brief glimpses of hope along the way has been in the gutter since that game. Cannot understate that. I appreciate Thomas Davis for trying to calm the situation and I do understand where he is coming from and why he wants to approach this glass half full because he doesn't want to pile on in any way. Unfortunately it's giving the same vibe as Steve Smith Sr in the lead up to last season. Lots of positive energy and praise particularly of Bryce Young and it's just been worst case scenario the majority of the time ever since. He contents Bryce Young is not easily rattled but the eye test just doesn't jive. We will see what transpires this Sunday and go from there.

Fields is a bust it's best for folks to move on once and for all. As far as Horn goes at this point the only question is whether or not picking Horn over Surtain was the right call. Jaycee has a lot to make up for this Sunday.

You don't hold the development of the young players on the roster hostage because you want to let Bryce Young ride out the rest of the season at all costs. If he continues to play the way he has the next few games it should be a wrap. For the good of the team.

Those people were idiots and a few of them were just bigots in hiding.
-
Hey now. Courage is a G and saved his owners from all kinds of mess. Please don't insult a GOAT cartoon like that.
-
Most of those ignorant people already jumped ship and are long gone now. Many of the people left here were big Cam supporters. Nobody deserves this mess created by David Tepper.

0yXePAVqtV03Q9bp.mp4 Very possible. Also going forward this could be a key example used by teams to highly discourage their top paid QB's from lowering their helmet toward a defender while carrying the football. Just slide and live for another down.

Oooooo weeeeeee this is ugly. At least there's another NFL team that can share in our misery. Welcome to the club Dolphins fans.

But he changed his throwing motion!

People handle things differently. I'm not going to trash him just to trash him. But as a fanbase we have to be able to navigate through these really bad times and laughter is a big help. It's good for the soul. Some of this stuff is hilarious. As far as Bryce the individual I have no hard feelings toward him he's not a bad person. But that doesn't make a difference in the reality we are living in regarding the on field product that he himself is directly contributing to the outright destruction of. Anyway none of this is going to be toning down anytime soon as there are 16 more games of this and things are likely to get worse before they get better. So I guess people should consider if they are going to just unplug from the madness or say fug it and ride along on this runaway train cackling as it careens right off a cliff.

In my mind Bryce Young already made the decision for them. If you are in the Panthers front office or on staff and you value your job security you already now know that we are going QB round 1 next year no matter what. There will be an open competition whether Bryce remains on the roster or not. This aura of complacency and comfortability around the most consequential position on the roster has to change because so far all it has produced is the worst team in all of professional sports.

You cannot start Bryce Young again. He is not an NFL player.
frankw replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hire people to run the show and make major decisions on your behalf. Fully step aside beyond franchise altering decisions. But even then let the people you've hired make the call. Give them some time and rope and if they poo the bed you start over. He can't do that. He is arrogant petty and ego driven. Think back to him holding a press conference after firing Reich where he purposely mispronounced his name. First of all. You shouldn't be the one doing this you should have someone in place like I just mentioned. Second of all. Extremely childish and small minded behavior. That's a big part of the reason why ultimately Dan Morgan was just about the only one willing to take the GM job here. Ditto on Canales. -
I don't have any issue with his personality or demeanor. Also I appreciate the fact he is not just rambling off generic coach speak about all things and goes into detail on X's and O's. Positivity is fine and good but one word we should be hearing more of in relation is accountability. I'm glad Dave is willing to take the brunt of the blame for last Sunday's debacle but the players who claim to like him so much need to put forth a much much better effort this Sunday.

I get the argument of this being a normal thing with a boss and a new staff hire. However this is anything but a normal situation currently. After what we know and have known about Tepper's involvement over the years I think it's more than fair to say this is either going to end up going pretty good or it's going to be another shitshow. Just calling it like i see it.

Jay Gruden on Bryce Young: He looks small and plays small
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jamarcus with the higher passer rating more passing TD's and less interceptions. Woooooooooof. -
All of this seemed so easy to spot though. Like if you go back and rewatch Bryce Young and CJ Stroud in college their prodays and the combine you will be like wow I can see why Stroud is having success. He was absolutely throwing lasers and he didn't have to put his whole body into it to launch the ball downfield either. This whole debacle has been how to get yourself fired and torpedo your sports franchise for dummies.

Y’all some SICK people trolling the Panthers IG account
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers social media team is either bafflingly aloof or just trolling the fanbase at this point. No reason to leave the comments on for that one. Have some awareness.
