We all owe Teddy Bridgewater an apology
rmoneyg35 replied to ENC Pantherfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
True…. But if we don’t turn over the ball and the qb completes 65 of his passes and we are probably a playoff team even with rhule. We could be 4-1 with teddy, no? -
Geno Smith is now a solid NFL QB, change my mind. he’s putting up good numbers right now and has been decent as a back up over the past few years. He might even be a top 15 QB right now. Some QBs just need time to develop and the right system.

We all owe Teddy Bridgewater an apology

I think we could be a borderline playoff team with teddy. A healthy CMC with this offensive line would probably get us to the playoffs. Teddy is an okay qb who doesnt turn the ball over a lot. He’s not good but he’s a solid game managing qb. -
Never understood why people act like we should have drafted him after seeing his rookie season. He flat out sucked yet people act like we still should draft him. also I never got the hate for Horn. He was good, despite having to play in a shitty scheme that used zone. Use him for man to man, that’s what he’s good at.

Not going to happen. If we trade him for a 1st then we are going to cover that money. I doubt we would get a first for a RB with a injury history and big contract. running backs don’t hold their value.
-
Cam was literally just qb sneaking the ball at the goal line. Most teams would just let the RB do it but instead cam did it. Still he wasn’t a TD machine. He only threw for over 25 TDs once. heres something else to think about, how many times would cam run for 4 yards instead of passing to a wide open receiver and getting the first down?

We don’t need to win, we need to lose so we can get a top pick. Imagine if we get a top pick and can get Will Anderson to pair with Burns? I do agree that we need to see what we have on our roster. Let the rookies and other young talent play. Don’t give the vets who will be gone in a year playing time. Let’s see if we have any good players hidden in the depth chart. cmc may be our best player but sadly I don’t think we can get much for him because he’s a running back, he has a big contract and he has a injury history. Burns, Moton, Moore, Horn and Icky are our most valuable players. I wouldn’t want to trade any of them. Shaq Thompson, d Jax and Robby Anderson are our most valuable vets and we would be lucky to get mid round picks for roby, maybe a 2nd or 3rd for Shaq and D Jax

Lots of good QBs but each has a major flaw, like Bryce Young’s size.

Yeah such a great qb, one that couldn’t even complete 60% of his passes and only threw for over 30 TD once. Oh but he got a bunch of TDs at the goal line he must be good… truth is Cam was a middle of the pack QB. When he won the MVP he wasn’t even the best QB that year. He had a good defense that was giving him great field position from turnovers where he didn’t have to go far to get a TD. Cam was barely a top 10 qb when he played.

No our roster isn’t close. Lots of holes, not many stars. Burns is probably our only star on defense. Horn could be a star, but young. Shaq is above average,Luvu the same. Brown might be a solid starter. Chinn cam be good if moved back to linebacker or played to his strengths. Jackson is a sold 2 cb. The rest are back ups. Our offense has CMC, DJ, Moton. Icky has potential to be great. Corbett and Christensen are solid starters. we don’t have enough stars to be good, if we could get a good qb and a DE then I think we could cover up a lot of holes we have.

Our defense isn’t great, it’s average despite not even playing that many good offenses. Also the stats against our D are misleading, our offense sucks so most of the time our Opponents are just running the ball to take time off the clock. We can’t get to the qb and our scheme sucks. If it wasn’t for so lucky turnovers our d would be a lot worse.

Well considering people don’t trust PFF scores I guess this doesn’t count. Best game all season for a LT? I’m pretty sure he had a drive killing penalty.

Was Rhule worse than Seifert?
rmoneyg35 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Seifert won 120 games. he had a rookie qb that was horrible his 2001 season and we did beat the Vikings which was arguably the best team. Also not like we had great teams during those years. -
Well it’s not like we are going to be super bowl contenders next year anyhow. I say we eat the contracts and then in 2024 we will be free of them. Don’t extend, don’t cut them. Let’s go ahead and get rid of all these bad contracts. Prepare for the future. Get a good QB, some other young talent, give them a year or two and once they start playing well then we can sign some free agents with the cap room we have.

PFF grades from Panthers' Week 4 loss to Cardinals
rmoneyg35 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m sorry but I don’t think Elfein is as good as the PFF scores show. He’s constantly getting beat and is on the ground. I would love to see how good Bozeman is -
Cause Cam is old and washed. He can’t throw the ball since the injury. He’s good for short yardage and goal line but that’s it at this point.

Should Shenault get more playing time?
rmoneyg35 replied to YourLastThought's topic in Carolina Panthers
Here’s an idea… what if he was our back up RB or used like cmc? Take reps off CMC and give him reps where he can use his strengths. -
Give me some hope. Can this offense be turned around?
rmoneyg35 replied to Khaki Lackey's topic in Carolina Panthers
Personally I’ve always hated zone, especially when Horn supposed to excel at being a press corner. Use players to their strengths is what I say. Doesn’t help that Snow uses a college defense. -

Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel that Baker seems to be under pressure a lot. Yes our run game has improved but is that because we have CMC? -
Considering Jenkins had Buckner beside him, Peppers and Rucker on the end, I’m surprised he didn’t have more sacks. But you are correct about his injuries. They also said peppers disappeared in games and took plays off. Imagine if Jenkins was in better shape?
-
True but if that rumor is true I think it had an effect on him.

Wouldn’t it be Snow?
