Someone on X cut up all of his touches in college that were screens and handoffs and his reluctance to just cut up the doggone field is staggering. Constantly bouncing outside into nothingness.
-
We stink but the next 5 games are winnable. It’ll dictate our season cause the second half looks a lot harder.

Smarter football people than me pointed out that Baker was a horrendous fit for a Ben Mcadoo doo offense. By the way, that guy is senior defensive assistant for the Eagles now, that's how badly Rhule was searching the bottom of the barrel for a one year OC.

Something to learn from these QBs, there's an option to build our roster & org first, then find a QB when it's at least an average unit. These college QBs are awful when they come into the NFL, it's clearer than ever that there's just no need to learn coverages or read defenses in college. So you let them go fail for another organization, then when they are "done" with them (because they failed them), you can go grab them for pennies on the dollar and they'll be productive for you because they'll actually know how to operate the position at an NFL level. Current crop of QBs that are trending to "bust" territory that we can target: CJ Stroud, Spencer Rattler, Trevor Lawrence, Anthony Richardson, Will Levis, Trey Lance

That whole play is bizarre, it's ultimately on Bryce to just dump it to Chuba there, but like wtf are those routes?

Only the Panthers can draft someone (JT0) who's nickname is "Man Hands" and he develops a drop problem in year two. Only the Panthers draft a raw athlete (XL) and then don't know how to develop him, causing him to regress in year two. Only the Panthers, with a Linebacker GM, draft a raw linebacker (TW) and have no clue how to develop him. We have a coaching problem here. I haven't even touched on Bryce's lack of development and Canales not seeming to know how to call plays for him in year 2 either. We gots a long way to go. There's a few bright spots to watch still, TMac, Cade Mays back at Center, Chuba, DBrown, Horn, but man there is just no "middle class" talent on the roster.

Just so we are keeping score by the way, Stroud rolled left and threw a ball way too high out of the end zone on fourth down lol.

I freaking love Vita Vea. Maybe my favorite D Lineman in the league right now

You see, this is why I'm more critical of Dave Canales

This is truly the first time my brain wanders to what we’d look like if we had kept Wilks. Not that it matters, but I wish I could peer into that window for a minute and see what’s up. -
All my fears with Dave Canales materializing this season it appears.

Oh please, I'll fan however I want to. Love the org, chat about it all the time with my friends, but I won't go out of my way to watch them if they're going to waste my time. Been what, 8 years of this now? Gets old fast.

If the Panthers lay an egg at home vs Atlanta...

We are going to make Kyle Pitts look like a hall of famer for one game, that's for sure. -
Looking like I will not be re-newing my monthly Sunday Ticket subscription, cause that's a disaster. Hunt is one of my favorites they trot out there too, such a shame. I'll keep watching this month but this team is going to be picking top 5 again if this keeps up.

Zavala is about to be playing for a while if Hunt is out as well as Corbett. That's a 4 win team written all over it.

The Point Guard we thought we were getting: The Point Guard we got: Coincidentally, Ricky Rubio was drafted over Steph Curry in the same draft. Had the same issues in the NBA that Bryce has in the NFL that can be distilled into two words, "Too small".

They aren't watching the games, just reading box scores.

As much flak as he's rightfully taking for his 2024 draft, I am alright with Dan Morgan right now. He's inherited a bad QB and a bad NFL roster. That's a tough predicament, thought his 2024 FA class was great, 2025 draft too early to call (but props for taking the BPA of T-Mac), and 2025 FA too early to call. There isn't a magic wand here, this is a sad-sack organization with major holes in the roster, I like having someone here who has actually experienced some success within the franchise. He just has to keep nailing his draft picks in the first two rounds and likely find another option at QB.

I Feel Bad For All of You - Thank God for Tetairoa McMillan

He makes me yell at my tv in a positive manner every game. He’s been a monster out there. -
Horrible. Casual fans called it out immediately too.

Drafting projects in the first round or two is incredibly risky. Especially when you already stink as a team, those guys need to be day 1 contributors.

My thoughts: - Bryce cannot elevate the offense at all, back breaking turnovers are the norm with him. Backup material written all over him. - TMac is a revelation and we deserve it quite frankly. Got lucky he fell to us in the draft a little bit. - Running game is just a zero and it’s killing our plan. - Canales is looking lost out there, I don’t know what he does well. He’s terrible at managing tricky situations. - Loved seeing the rookies pop a little bit this game on defense. They need to keep growing. - Defense played alright? Kyler is a fricken dumbass though with that pick. - Worst Linebacker group I’ve ever seen in Charlotte I think. Tight ends will kill us all year if Rozeboom AND Wallace both stink in coverage. I’m tired of watching the Panthers play better when it’s garbage time.

Could probably get Jameis for pennies
Panthering replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
Went to UNC. People think he’s a pesky gunslinger instead of an undersized turnover machine just like Bryce Young. -
I’ll never forgive Shane Beamer for hiring Mike Shula as his OC. I spent so much time complaining about him in Charlotte that it’s killed my outlook for this team, they were overrated anyways.

Good breakdown! I'm not going to pretend like I know what I'm looking at all that well, but I get the feeling Coen knew exactly how to attack Evero's defense. Maybe we'll realize by the end of the year that he's a darn fine playcaller and we'll look back at this a little differently. However.... some of these defensive players look pretty bad in a lot of different spots. #32 has been beat up a lot for that day already but this is just another reminder. He takes extremely puzzling angles too much.

Goes to S.C., great athletic traits, raw in some aspects, yeah he’ll be a Panther for sure.
