  1. Don’t join the Reich train later this year is all I’ll say IM ALL ABOARD IT RIGHT NOW
  2. I mean... Reich's resume is pretty damn strong man. Instrumental in the Philly offense that won the Super Bowl. 4 top 10 scoring offenses in the last 6 years. Great staff builder. Numerous connections throughout the league. Ben Johnson was my #1 choice and even I'd say Reich has a stronger resume than him. With Johnson, you are mostly projecting.
  3. Right. This could be a double-win for us Panthers fans.
  4. That was literally just his opinion. No actual real reason to think they offered that to either of them.
  5. I don't think we talked to Harbaugh. The only Harbaugh/Panthers affiliation that I can recall is people wanting to pair Harbaugh and Luck together. That had a real possibility... if Luck had came out of school.
  6. He was seen almost universally as a great hire. The only skepticism was because he had interviewed for YEARS and never got the job. But at the time I don't recall any Panthers fans being disappointed.
  7. Frank Reich is a damn good coach, man. I understand why you feel underwhelmed! But I have confidence he will make you happy and set the Panthers up for a good future. He's going to bring a very good staff here. When Reich got fired one of the first things I said was he would be someone I'm happy to have here, if it came down to it.
  8. I pray ya’ll are exaggerating for the internet and don’t actually have this much hatred for a man you’ve never met.
  9. That isn't what the tweet means. It means the Panthers feel they don't need to hire a HC who is here for 10+ years. They are comfortable with an older coach who can step in, know what he's doing and bring immediate playoff success to the organization. And also set the Panthers up for the future. Like a lot of us have pointed out, Reich has a history of surrounding himself with great assistants. Reich is 61 years old. So it is entirely possible he coaches here for only 5 years and leaves us with a future HC in the waiting. Because again, that is how good he is at building a staff and the connections he's established in the NFL. He could easily poach from Doug Pederson's staff or Nick Sirianni's.
  10. I'd love to know more about the interview process. What questions are asked in the 2nd interview that aren't asked in the 1st and vice versa?
  11. CJ Stroud and Will Levis would be the best fits with Frank Reich. I'm still unsure of my thoughts on Levis, but he fits the mold. We won't be in a position to draft him anyway but I don't think Bryce Young fits. I don't think Anthony Richardson fits either. So I would take both of them out of your mind right now.
  12. Exactly and he was instrumental in Wentz earlier success. Compare Wentz with Reich to Wentz without. I think it is fair to be a bit underwhelmed but Reich has proven he can get a team to the playoffs. And he can develop a young QB and assemble a solid staff. Lets remember it was Reich who had Sirianna at OC and Eberflus at DC, both are HCs. Also Jonathan Gannon and Mike Groh. The ability to build a good staff is just as important as the HC itself. And Reich has proven he can bring in great assistants.
  13. Johnson chose to return to Detroit. Reich isn't my top choice either but he's had success at HC and Wentz's best years statistically have all come under Reich. Reich would be seen differently if Luck didn't abruptly retire, but I trust a young, new QB with Reich. Sometimes it is what it is. At this point I just want an offensive-minded HC. Plus he has great connections throughout the NFL.
  14. Wilks supporters will conveniently ignore he guided the Cardinals to the #1 overall pick or that he got fired after 1 year as DC in Cleveland because he sucked, but make sure we know he went 6-6!
  15. Don't forget the play calling following the interception in OT vs the Falcons
  16. An outstanding job would have been playing aggressive vs the Bucs in a game that decided the NFC South, not settling for punts and squandering a lead.
  17. I feel like Moore's issue with some is he got hyped up TOO soon. So of course people hold him to higher expectations than they do the others. But he has more play-calling experience than Steichen, Dorsey, and Kafka. And has the success to back up the hype.
  18. Count me in the minority who likes Kellen Moore. He gets way too much disrespect and I really don't understand why. Is he a perfect candidate? Of course not, but if you want the perfect candidate, you will be disappointed. He would be on the same caliber of hire as Zac Taylor, Kevin O'Connell, Matt LaFleur, etc. A young, hot-shot OC who used to be a quarterback who might need some refinement and maybe a year or two to really learn how to connect with players, but the potential is sky-high. The offense has finished 6th or higher in PPG 3 out of the 4 years he's been OC. The one year they didn't finish in the top 6 was in 2020, when Dak got hurt and they still finished 17th in PPG with Andy Dalton largely starting most of the season. Cowboys were 22nd in scoring in 2018 and 14th in 2017. Moore has been the difference maker. He does a great job getting everyone involved, from the WRs to the TEs to both RBs. And he's been able to keep the offense productive despite injuries. He's shown signs of being very creative and I think he's one of the best short-yardage play-callers in the business. My #1 choice? Probably not. But there is way too much trashing of him on this forum. I don't know what more people want. Some of you complain about going for a guy like Payton. But then you don't want to go for a guy like Moore, who has consistently coordinated one of the best offenses in the entire NFL year-in, year-out, and did so by transforming Dak from a conservative QB to someone willing to push it down the field and make plays. If we hire him, he will have my full support. I'd still take Kafka over him, mainly because I love that he learned under Reid and Daboll. Steichen's work with QBs is hard to turn down either. But I think Moore belongs in that conversation with the two of them.
