Oh well. The past is the past. Not worth harping on. I am happy for Christian McCaffrey and I am glad he is on a team he can win a Super Bowl with. A player of his talent deserves it, not to be stuck on a rebuilding team.

2014 Panthers OL may never be topped in team history for awfulness. I honest to God don't believe we will ever see a worse OL. Our Week 1 OL was Byron Bell (on the all-time list for bad Panthers starters), Amini Silatolu (on the all-time list for bad Panthers starters), Ryan Kalil (thank you), Fernando Valesco (awful), and Nate Chandler (on the all-time list for bad Panthers starters). Oh and who can forget the Philly game? How in the hell did Cam survive that How did we make the playoffs LMAO

This is going to be a great offseason. It feels good to be headed into an offseason of change, actual change. All respect to Wilks, but like many have said - the Panthers needed a change. We couldn't continue to try and win with tough defense and a hard-nosed running game. We have a lot of picks. We can make some moves for the future. I'm confident the Panthers plan on drafting a QB this offseason. Between that and the decisions we make with our staff and other changes we could see, I am so confident for our future.

I think we'll get a rockstar no matter what. I'm full of faith.

HC Frank Reich OC Eric Bieniemy Run Game Coordinator Greg Roman DC Vic Fangio Profit

I'd rather us move away from Foreman. Maybe circle back to him after the draft if he's still available. But while he did a good job for us last year and was a driving force on a bad offense, he is at the end of the day replaceable. I'd rather us wait and see how everything else plays out for us. I wouldn't be against taking a RB with one of our picks in the 2nd and 3rd. Someone dynamic that can help out our rookie QB early. Plus I think Reich would prefer someone more dynamic out of the backfield anyway. Let Ionnadis walk Definitely bring back Bozeman at a reasonable price. We need continuity on the OL.

Don’t join the Reich train later this year is all I’ll say IM ALL ABOARD IT RIGHT NOW

I mean... Reich's resume is pretty damn strong man. Instrumental in the Philly offense that won the Super Bowl. 4 top 10 scoring offenses in the last 6 years. Great staff builder. Numerous connections throughout the league. Ben Johnson was my #1 choice and even I'd say Reich has a stronger resume than him. With Johnson, you are mostly projecting.

Right. This could be a double-win for us Panthers fans.
-
That was literally just his opinion. No actual real reason to think they offered that to either of them.

I don't think we talked to Harbaugh. The only Harbaugh/Panthers affiliation that I can recall is people wanting to pair Harbaugh and Luck together. That had a real possibility... if Luck had came out of school.
-
He was seen almost universally as a great hire. The only skepticism was because he had interviewed for YEARS and never got the job. But at the time I don't recall any Panthers fans being disappointed.

Frank Reich is a damn good coach, man. I understand why you feel underwhelmed! But I have confidence he will make you happy and set the Panthers up for a good future. He's going to bring a very good staff here. When Reich got fired one of the first things I said was he would be someone I'm happy to have here, if it came down to it.

I pray ya’ll are exaggerating for the internet and don’t actually have this much hatred for a man you’ve never met. -

That isn't what the tweet means. It means the Panthers feel they don't need to hire a HC who is here for 10+ years. They are comfortable with an older coach who can step in, know what he's doing and bring immediate playoff success to the organization. And also set the Panthers up for the future. Like a lot of us have pointed out, Reich has a history of surrounding himself with great assistants. Reich is 61 years old. So it is entirely possible he coaches here for only 5 years and leaves us with a future HC in the waiting. Because again, that is how good he is at building a staff and the connections he's established in the NFL. He could easily poach from Doug Pederson's staff or Nick Sirianni's.

I'd love to know more about the interview process. What questions are asked in the 2nd interview that aren't asked in the 1st and vice versa?
-
CJ Stroud and Will Levis would be the best fits with Frank Reich. I'm still unsure of my thoughts on Levis, but he fits the mold. We won't be in a position to draft him anyway but I don't think Bryce Young fits. I don't think Anthony Richardson fits either. So I would take both of them out of your mind right now.

Exactly and he was instrumental in Wentz earlier success. Compare Wentz with Reich to Wentz without. I think it is fair to be a bit underwhelmed but Reich has proven he can get a team to the playoffs. And he can develop a young QB and assemble a solid staff. Lets remember it was Reich who had Sirianna at OC and Eberflus at DC, both are HCs. Also Jonathan Gannon and Mike Groh. The ability to build a good staff is just as important as the HC itself. And Reich has proven he can bring in great assistants.

Johnson chose to return to Detroit. Reich isn't my top choice either but he's had success at HC and Wentz's best years statistically have all come under Reich. Reich would be seen differently if Luck didn't abruptly retire, but I trust a young, new QB with Reich. Sometimes it is what it is. At this point I just want an offensive-minded HC. Plus he has great connections throughout the NFL.
