  1. But also, J Rod mentioned the Ramsay type role that the Rams made. I think we may very well be seeing something similar done for Chinn. Exciting regardless. Talented defense just got better in my estimation.
  2. Navarro Bowman who is super close to Chinn is style and mass (a bit stockier), played amazingly in a Fangio D (w/Evero as an assistant) in SF. I see how him and Willis did together, and it makes me confident Shaq-Chinn could work
  3. I won't pretend I know it all, but our expected base package is a two-high safety approach so Woods & Bell will be those outfielders with one sometimes a robber. Woods -- Bell Horn Jackson Burns - Shaq - Chinn? - Luvu Brown - Tuttle - <TBD> Now, this may only end up being 25-30% of our formations, but if we're keeping Chinn and want him in 90%+ of defensive snaps, that's kind of where he'll need to go at times. Unless you want him deep. People will say he fits this hybrid but they aren't accounting for a good fraction of our anticipated defensive looks. He'll be akin to the hybrid role with a thousand nicknames otherwise in our nickel and dime subs.
  4. There's the buddy Woods needed back there with him in the 2 deep.
  5. You need good as$ run defense in our new scheme and this dude gives us just that. Not bad.
  6. Yeah, I think it's easy to say Corral's days in Carolina are numbered. I mean, at this point, he's never realistically seeing the field for us in a meaningful snap anyways.
  7. We're about to get a 6th comp for a guy we spent a two thirds on a year ago. Oh well haha
  8. If we secure Foreman for a few years, I would absolutely love to land a guy like Achane or Spears in the draft. Get a home run, pass catcher and Hubbard can fill in when needed. Takes away the need to reach on Charbonnet or Gibbs at 39 and be patient at the spot come late April.
  9. I'm sensing an Allen Lazard type pickup. Honestly, would rather angle for a trade at WR and draft a TE. Unless we REALLY want Schultz or Gesicke, don't think we overspend at either spot. WR FA class is yikes. We may be gunning for Dre'mont Jones or if Shaq isn't fully reworked, could sign Okereke and tell him bon voyage.
  10. No one is trading to #1 next year, whatever team lands that is staying put. They're looking like a hot contender. Vegas & Washington as well.
  11. I'm non-ACC/UNC, but yep, he would be a great get, and a guy to play immediately. No easing in w/him. He reminds me so much of the types that get projected as slot only, but their skill really pushes them beyond it to a more of a plus starter that plays outside at times. I've seen a lot of Tyler Lockett/TY Hilton comps, but I think he has more upside with his quick moves, intermediate game, & contested catching. It's hard to see him not have an instant impact. I see a Devonta Smith or Amon Ra in him that's not getting enough praise.
  12. After some thought, I would go after DJ Chark. He's a totally capable WR2. Was in a crowded spot last year and still produced. Staley will either be in suport or against with their history last year. Allen Lazard is another who reminds me a bit of guys like Keenan Allen & Pittman who Reich likes working with. Draft and maybe trade for the others. Just don't want to overpay for any of these other chumps. I think Meyers is going to get overpaid somewhere & the rest of the class is just [barf].
  13. I don't know hip-hop these days, is that a Miami guy? Friend of Mike Lowrey?
  14. Miami is going for the full cuban sandwich.
  15. I think we're fine. Just stay put and grab our QB. The most important thing now --we'll just have to be careful with how we maneuver the 39th and 93rd picks. TE wise--Kincaid & Mayer will likely be off the board, WR wise, Flowers, S-N, Addison & Johnston WR: Hyatt, Downs, Scott TE: LaPorta, Musgrave, Washington are the names we should be looking at in my opinion. It could be in our benefit to trade down if a team is targeting one of the many top EDGE talent that will be available. Move down a tad, gain another mid-rounder. Almost HAVE to take a receiving talent, but I tell you, if a guy like Ojulari is available, would he be too good to pass on?
  16. Hopefully he doesn't slip into another dead end situation for years. Feel like him and CMC's entire tenure here was just insanely wasted.
  17. If I remember correctly (may have been different around these parts)...Locker was a distant third but many were definitely touting Gabbert. Then there were a handful thinking Dareus or Peterson were possible options and we could just get Kaep or Dalton in R2.
  18. Well this aged in quite a funny way
  19. The two 4ths our nice. I wouldn't put it past this staff to trade up into the 3rd (or) trade slightly down from 39 to the 40s and gain another 4th. Movement is definitely possible here.
  20. Don’t forget the 23 dead cap is a big reason why we started tight. That all trims way back and we’ll be looking at having one of the largest cap space amounts to work with. That being said, would be nice to bring in min 1 legit target this year with some rookies.
