  1. I would assume we take one in the 2nd if a stud is available this year, if not they’ll be looking at one next year after assessing Corbett this year.
  2. It was reported that Corbett is moving in to C. Dunno if that was rock solid, but it’s all I’ve seen so far.
  3. Good signing. Our DL is gonna be nasty and make it easier for the less than star studded pass rushing group.
  4. Gutted? We lost Burns (sucks but we pretty much knew he was gone), Luvu (sucks but we get Shaq back so doesn’t hurt quite as much as simply losing our starting MLB), Bell (not much of a loss, was hurt and didn’t exactly live up to expectations) and YGM (no loss). With FA and the draft and another year in the system the defense might not be as bad as the chicken littles think.
  5. I know different people say different things so one can’t be attributed to the same people as the other, but jfc for years we’ve whined as a collective that we haven’t provided our QBs with a sufficient OL (at least as far back as Cam’s first couple years), and now we are investing heavily in the OL and some are still whining? Did you think we were going to get top tier Gs for cheap? Did you think we have enough draft picks to ensure that at least two of them turn into top tier Gs? Corbett to C is risky, sure, but he’s a good player. Two rock solid Gs will improve the play of all 5 guys on the OL. These two investments could easily pay dividends on putting Icky back on the right track he was on his rookie year, extending Moton’s career as a good RT and making it easier for Corbett to transition to C. We MAY have just fixed the OL issue. And with that, we may have fixed any potential need for a RB. Average RBs can put up great numbers behind a great OL. And with THAT we may have given Bryce (or whoever we get next year) a chance to play not terrible by having a run game the defense has to consider and an OL that gives him even more time to make his decisions since it takes him so long. Another solid WR or two and we’re looking at an actual functional offense. Defense lost a couple good players in Burns and Luvu, but Shaq will be back next year (not that he’s as good as Luvu) so Luvu’s loss isn’t a 100% subtraction from the defense. YGM was just a warm body, easily replaceable. The defense isn’t gutted and hopefully these moves have given them the money to resign Brown because he’s our real star on defense, with Horn if he can stay healthy.
  6. 100%. Playing revisionist history like that always dumb imo. If we don’t trade CMC, it changes everything that comes after. If we do trade Burns to the Rams, it changes everything that comes after. Jesus, it’s almost like none of these people saw the Ashton Kutcher classic “Butterfly Effect”.
  7. I mean that’s not even factual. It’s considering a trade we didn’t make as a trade, which is stupid. Almost as stupid as the sum of the trades and trade refusals in hindsight.
  8. Not mad about losing YGM. Wouldn’t have wanted to match that contract for him.
  9. I know it’s just fantasy football, but what if it was burns and #33 for #6 and their second next year? Think they’d go for that? Would you guys be happy with that? It would put one of those top two WRs in reach…
  10. Of course that’s what they say. No one wants to admit they were completely wrong about a prospect until it’s undeniable and they run out of excuses to make. I hope Bryce can turn it around, but I’m ready to admit I was wrong that he would also be good (even though I was adamant Stroud would be significantly better) and that injury concerns were greater than the accuracy concerns I had.
  11. If 33 is our first pick and we spend it on defense I ***** riot.
  12. Luvu has been playing great for three years now. Burns was on the opposite side for one of those.
  13. I mean, he’s definitely not going to dupe another team into giving him a similar contract to that one but I don’t think his ego will allow him to play for vet minimum, and anything more is too expensive for us which is what I was saying. I’m guessing he won’t accept anything lower than what the highest paid backup is getting.
  14. How you figure? Think he goes to a team for next to nothing because he got a free bag in Denver? I doubt it. But if nothing else at least we can look at it as a worse move than what we did to get Bryce. At least Bryce didn’t cost us a couple firsts AND the worst contract in history ending in $85m in dead money.
  15. I’m down for this offseason. Nothing really disagree with, haven’t researched draft prospects yet so I dunno who I prefer.
  16. Yea if Cam wouldn’t work as a backup because of his personality, Wilson’s diva ass sure doesn’t.
  17. A little better than Young but I still don’t want him. Too expensive, let Young drive this tank to our new QB in next year’s draft.
  18. Yea Red Wolves was my pick. Football Team is atrocious and about the only choice worse than Commanders.
  19. lol I’m not Tepper fanboy. I’m not some emotional blind hater that couldn’t stand him from the beginning, and at least he’s better than Richardson, but he’s fked up his two coaching hires and one GM hire. Hope he got it right this time. He needs to replace the turf with grass. But I also don’t use him as the boogeyman and everything that goes wrong is his fault. It’s lazy and ignorant.
  20. Guess that means you’re out? Peace Sorry that poo hurt your feelings so bad.
  21. And lol at people that think this is damage control. For who? The only person it helps is Nicole Tepper. She’s running her own damage control rumor mill to what end? Wrest control of the team from her husband? Doesn’t sound likely.
  22. Well that destroys a popular narrative around here
