  1. Where might we be if Moore kept his damn helmet on his head? 7-8 with two to play.
  2. It is hard to say--some players have a style of play that makes them injury prone. Many top athletes in the NFL were top athletes in pop warner, high school, college, etc. They did not need to focus as much on mechanics because their athleticism was more than enough to compensate. When matched with equals, however, the need for mechanics is obvious. Am I saying that CMC was not mechanically sound? Horn? No, but I am saying that many injuries occur when a player is in a compromised position that contradicts what most coaches preach as far as mechanics.
  3. Yes indeed. I think one of our second rounders will be TE. They mentioned the need for skill players-- Marshall starting to step up, Smith is good in the slot, Moore is a good #1, and Shenault is a swiss army knife--the OL is pretty solid, and we have a good interior backup/blocking back in Mays. if we could add a TE, a QB, and then maybe a S and LB--good draft.
  4. He is awesome. Nobody giving Corbett enough credit, and BC has been really good at LG. So much better than what we had up the gut last year.
  5. Gardner "Foo" Minshew, MC, and then draft a QB in rounds 2 or 3. Some raw talent in the draft. My choice? Houston's Clayton "Name That" Tune with the second, second pick. I have a plan.
  6. Can we all agree that this draft is the one that will define Fetterer's career? I think it could be interesting to draft the BPA in the first round. A top TE and QB in round 2. I think Hendon Hooker's value is beaten down (age, late season injury) and he could be picked up on day 2. However, there is a guy I might draft with the third rounder (if available) and I think he might be: However, this guy is a gunslinger who threw for 40 TDs (10 ints) against relatively weak competition. However, I think he could become an NFL starter in time. Name that Tune: (Yes, I think that is a bandana around his neck, so buyer beware)
  7. Keep in mind, rabid Panther fans, that the Panthers have 2 second rounders that would allow them to move up 3-5 spots in the draft (from#8). We are drafting a QB.
  8. You had to have a QB--Darnold was an unproven bridge when we had the option to pick between Fields and Jones-both, arguably, better than the #1 QB taken in 2022. So Rhule, in his infinite wisdom, takes a CB.
  9. Seriously, I like to watch when an OP makes a bold statement and then defends his opinion for 3-4 pages. I have been there too.
  10. If someone who fits a comparison is short, you say he "plays bigger." Well hell, Mr. Mathematics if that is your real name, anyone can win that argument if you avoid scientific data.
  11. Our pick is going to be Will Levis or Anthony Richardson. We will sign a veteran as well (me hopey it is Minshew).
  12. I mean, this is not logical--it is a hypothetical comparison in which you compare a young rookie in preseason playing behind an Oline that was cut vs. a second-year, second overall draft pick playing with the starters.
  13. Ok, now who are top college coaches who want to give the NFL a shot? Asking for a friend.
  14. I think you could give him a longer deal for a bit less money--I have seen enough to give him a five year deal for $55m or so. We could guarantee a bit more money than usual. He is the type of high character guy that seems to be worth the investment (based on my limited info and hunches) Kalil got paid and in retrospect, it was worth it.
  15. An now we have photographic evidence that blowing that lead was not the worst thing to happen to him on that day.
  16. I have a few captions: "I was worried about a comeback, not the other way around." "Is that a gerbil?" "Perhaps I should shout 'Omaha' instead of 'Shawshank.'"
  17. At Ryan's age, he needs to start thinking about his health. And I have heard of colonoscopy home kits--but in these photos, he was not at home. He was on the road.
  18. Look at the facial expression of the green shirted Atari guy. That is commitment. He knows his arrow landed in the bull's eye. This was no accident.
  19. Not only on the scoreboard, but in his pants. That's right, I said it (excuse this if it is repetitive): I guess that explains the skid mark. I mean, who amongst us has not iced the cake after getting the batter whipped up like this?
  20. Because it makes sense to hire from within a dysfunctional organization--but since we are humping the first ass we sniff, lets go through the motions of pretending to look at others. The odds that the best fit is already a Panther are slim. Dumbassery
  21. So many QBs have close relationships with TEs--there is a reason they feel this bond. Cam and Greg, Peyton and Dallas, Pat and Travis, Tom and Rob.... We have Sam and Ian. WTF?
  22. Thanks for sharing--I enjoy hearing the perspectives of others so much more than bitching and finger pointing--I think you could be right. He will need a really good OC if this is true. The third and eight QB draw was my last straw with McAdook. Wilkes is a good guy--he commands respect and the players seem to respond to him. If that does not equal wins yet, then I get it.
  23. To put this in perspective, we are 1 game back from landing the #3 overall draft pick if all the 4-win teams below us (we are currently at #8) win one of their last 3 games.
  24. I like Wilkes and his ability to communicate with the players--based on what I have seen. Today, regardless of what the scoreboard was saying, Pittsburgh was undisciplined and we did not really take the bait. I have a ton of respect for Tomlin, but like any coach we tend to call "great," you have to watch him without a franchise QB. He got in a face or two today, which is admirable, but our guys stayed, for the most part, composed. Does that mean Wilkes should be the next coach? Nope. I want to see how we finish. I am not impressed with some of the defensive mechanics I saw today--bad angles, poor tackling--CB giving too much cushion vs. a #2 wr--no apparent understanding of the situation (Taylor) Archeletta made a few good points--LBs were hesitating (when was the last time you saw Shaq in the hole making tackles? he gets his stats 4 yards past the LOS) Chinn was bad in contain. I am also disappointed in our fans--we wont even go to a home game when we have tickets when our team was in the playoff hunt--Pittsburgh fans travel and buy up tickets when their team has the same record--and less of a chance to make the playoffs.
