From May 2014. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2054863-michael-sams-full-scouting-report-and-outlook-heading-into-2014-nfl-draft https://www.si.com/nfl/2014/02/13/michael-sam-film-study-nfl-draft https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/michael-sam-nfl-draft-scouting-report-analysis-missouri-defensive-end-gay-out/4ad01r3njk9l1sdso7p4jlrgc https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/michael-sam-gay-nfl-draft/ And in a little bit of Irony, I found this. https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/michael-sam-comes-out/michael-sam-waits-call-nfl-draft-n100576 Ironic that he got picked about where Gruden said he would. Adds even more wtf to Gruden's emails.

Deonte Brown carted off during practice

Its a two way street. College teams like Alabama and Clemson use the greater likelihood of getting to the NFL as a recruiting tool. -
Vikings at Panthers Predictions - Let's hear it
Davidson Deac II replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have no idea what the score will be, but given the way things have gone for us the last three years, we will hang close, but lose it in the last minute or two of the game. -
Even before Fisher commented on it, I thought it was a fairly ludicrous assertion on Gruden's part. I mean, he is basically saying that Goodell pressured one specific team to use its 7th round pick on a player due to his sexual orientation. That would be idiotic on his part. If they greatly overreached for him, say a second round pick, then he might have a point. But a seventh rounder? I mean if you look at his pre draft projections, that is about where they thought he would picked. So I just don't see it being a result of pressure from Goodell.

Smitty puts the blame yesterday all on the OL
Davidson Deac II replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
When he had at least one and maybe two wide open receivers underneath that would have picked up significant yardage. He tried to make the bigger play when the smaller one would have been far better. -
The announcers are really calling out Chris Reed as playing well and a favorite of the staff. He was ours last year.

Chuba first 100 yard rookie rusher since Jonathan Stewart
Davidson Deac II replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, Chuba played fairly well all things considered. He is not CMC of course, but a solid player nonetheless. It is very disconcerting that he had more rushing yards than the entire Eagles team, our defense shut them down for the most part, and we still lost. Rhule and Brady are being criticized for being to conservative, but the ironic thing is that had we passed less and ran more, we had a better shot at winning. At least in this game. -

I only got to see part of the game, but according to the stats/box score, he was targeted six times and caught five. So assuming the box score is correct there could only be one drop. -
I was able to do it once. Some girl's dad was chasing me, and it was downhill.

Meanwhile, over at that other expansion team...
Davidson Deac II replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well sure, but my point was that 20 years ago, it was easy to get away with being a dumbass. Now, its more difficult. -
Cornerback and 61. And he is probably still fast. Although his name is actually Darrell. Fwiw, I read a story that ran a 4.43 forty on his 50th birthday.

I wonder if these older guys just have a hard time adapting to the new reality? I mean what Myer did wouldn't have raised an eyebrow 25 years ago. And that is the era he came up in, and sometimes its hard for some famous older folks (as well as a few younger ones) to adjust to the reality that virtually everything you do in public might end up on social media. -
According to what I read, Gilmore is on the final year of his contract. He could be a 1 year rental. Or we might decide to keep him longer, but we might have some choices to make next year. Hopefully, that is a good thing.

Well, we are definitely trying to put a great defense on the field. Wonder if Fitterer is trying to recreate the Seahawn SB team?

NFCS Pass Protection Stats Thru 4 games
Davidson Deac II replied to SBBlue's topic in Carolina Panthers
We were discussing establishing the run. In the first half, we did establish the run. Early in the game, we were ripping off decent runs. 4 14 12 2 -1 7 4 Late in the second qtr, and into the third, Dallas adjusted, and shut down the run. And our offense couldn't compensate. -

The ironic thing was that we did establish the run. For most of the first half, we were getting 5-10 yards per attempt. -

That explains why my marriage to Miss Virginia Dakota York failed. -

Don't get me wrong, I thought hiring Meyer was a dumb move on the part of Jacksonville. I am not a fan of hiring college coaches for NFL teams, especially when they come from big programs where he main path to success is recruiting well. But they had a bad team last year, and added a rookie qb this year. They would likely be 0-4 regardless of who the coach is. -

Ever? If you are referring to a coach going down the toilet fast maybe. But overall disaster for a team, I am not sure this cracks the top 25, especially if you take into account non NFL sports. -
The last time we played them was when we came back from the big deficit. That was 2018 I think. And probably our last really memorable dramatic win with Cam.
