Yes indeed-e! Apparently he has no weapons except a hurt CMC. Poor guy can't catch a break. All the things he was promised when he came here. And I forgot, he is essentially a rookie.

Smitty puts the blame yesterday all on the OL
NorthTryon replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not my fault you can't remember the game or don't know what you are looking for on the screen. Don't quote me if you can't remember what happened in the game fella. -
1. Exactly, as the website was recently changed and people who have been on here for years still have low rankings according to new system. 2. He combs the internet for the middle fingers Gifs way too hard. 3. I can't believe how many are dying on this Adam Gase/ he is essentially a rookie sword. It looks like he is essentially a rookie with some of the reads made this season. 4. This dumping on our skill position players is nonsense. All of a sudden Robby, DJ, Chuba, and Ian just aren't that good. That blew my mind to see threads and posts saying this. We literally went to the show with Tedd Ginn Jr as our number one WR and Philly Brown as the two. They'll say G-Reg was actually #1, but he played TE and we know that. This is one of the best skill position groups ever fielded for Carolina. Dude, Chuba had an outstanding game for a rookie with being a viable option out of the backfield and 100 plus yards behind this "terrible" o-line. DJ and Robby have been open i.e. the Dallas game first half where DJ was missed on the double move and Sunday where Robby was underthrown. Thomas and Marshall were both open on interception plays Sunday. I just don't get why Darnold is off limits. Shite is boggling the mind.

So first quarter last week against Dallas DJ Moore wasn't streaking wide open and was missed by Darnold? Also, Robbie Anderson wasn't wide open on the post Sunday against Philly and was under thrown? He didn't miss Thomas on third down Sunday twice? Players are being schemed open. Also why I said every play you scheme isn't going to work! But when someone breaks open you have to hit it. -
Yeah, but Jackson came off of the route he was defending to make that pick and stopped a possible huge gain yesterday. Sometimes you got to go off script.

Thoughts on Hurts' Cam Celebration yesterday?

Was it at all in tribute? I thought it was odd. Let me me do celebration of QB they let go of years ago. ???? -

He had time on all three interceptions. Brady is scheming players wide open and he is missing the throws plain and simple. Every play you scheme isn't going to work, but when they do you have to connect. Also, that is the problem if a QB sees ghosts out there. You only have all day to throw the ball once or twice every now and then. Greg Olsen said it on the broadcast yesterday that Sam missed a lot of throws. Greg knows football too! -
Rhule blames the D when asked about offensive struggles

But they are scheming players wide open and he is missing the throws. Greg Olsen even said it on the broadcast yesterday that Sam missed a lot of throws. -
Darnold might be the next one out the door
NorthTryon replied to Matthias's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't get why people don't understand this. We should've taken one this year even after the Darnold trade. It wasn't a certainty Darnold was going to struggle, but he definitely had a track record of struggling. -
Yeah like the article you linked about how Dallas ran out of the Jumbo set on our undersized defense. Who wrote that article? Was it Captain Obvious? Hahahahahahahhaha.
-
And there it is. I have no rebuttle so I'll be dismissive. Mmmkay. Hahahahahaahhahahahaha.

You get nothing. You argue inside a vacuum and I knew you'd take the bait. It has only been four games, so I don't know what Darnold will end up being for this franchise, but I believe we should have somebody capable behind him. That is all no more no less. We are literally doing as much as possible for all positions on this team as evidenced by Fitts calling around for available lineman and the report of almost having a WR trade with the JAGS this offseason. Again, I'm sorry you're used to Hurney and sitting pat on what you have, but I've always known life could be this way. Thanks for coming out.
-
It really don't when you come in with a few decent players from the previous regime. And Rivera/Hurney left about four really good pieces who are breaking out this year. Then add the competent and stellar moves made by Fitts, it doesn't have to be a five year project. This is what I was trying to say in the Darnold thread the other day and was told I had a lottery ticket mentality. I suggested working toward having a competent, young, franchise player backup to Darnold for this very reason. I don't want to look up four or five years down the road and be Jacksonville having to let players walk and trading players like Chinn or Horn for picks. I even like you said loser mentality to not make every move at being competitive.

A critique of Darnold through 4 games

So you addressed what I posted yesterday back in the pre-draft discussion before I even posted it? Wow, you are good! Man come down out of that castle and mingle with the town's people. -

Yet another post by Mr. Scot where you focus only on certain parts. I also said the draft before this current season, but that wouldn't allow you to say loser mentality would it. -
Meanwhile, over at that other expansion team...
NorthTryon replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
He will still be considered essentially a rookie though. Ends Sarcasm -

I don't know what it is, but some QBs get a pass while others don't. People are laughing hysterically because Pittsburgh took a flyer on Haskins, but Darnold in his fourth year is essentially a rookie. And dude is talking about putting people on ignore because we have some doubts. That is what is hysterical to me. -

Me saying that I would like to see something behind Darnold has nothing to do with first sign of adversity. The Seahawks drafted Russell Wilson knowing they had already signed Matt Flynn. That was before one game in their system. You are so used to having loser GMs, that you have a loser mentality and thinking preparedness equals lottery ticket mentality. Your trying to play it off like we are only saying this because of his struggles yesterday. I wish they would have addressed it this offseason and really want it for next year. We are all aware that we are watching Darnold through the entire season dude. -

Loser mentality. Jacksonville Jaguars tried to win this way with a retread at QB and now they have had to disband that entire awesome young defense they had just a few years ago. We are in the same boat with a hungry, young, and fast defense. I just would like for us to have something in place going forward behind Darnold. Because you know as well as I that we could be five years down the road doing this all over again trying to find replacements for Chinn, Burns, Gross-Matos, or trying to get picks for Horn. Go at someone else with your two/three word posts. No wonder some of you all have 20,000 plus posts on here. -

But doesn't it feel like they are doing this for his benefit? When they open things up the first couple of weeks here come the turnovers. For example the play where Tremble ran the wheel route and Darnold threw into blanketed double coverage on a wheel route. And he made that decision with time in the pocket. We did everything right but get a young QB to groom. Darnold is our Andy Dalton. I think he is doing better because Brady is scheming better than Nagy, but I fear this is the best we are going to get from Sam. I mean look at the weapons! He left so many points on the board. We could have legit been up 28-7 if he would've hit on wide open throws with clean pocket. I just don't want to waste the time waiting. That is essentially two years of wasted time for our great young(cheap) defense. -
Whatever! We drafted the best kicker in the league now a few years back. He produced for us in preseason and we stuck him on the practice squad like that could stop anything. Now he is routinely banging in winners while we search for answers. Teams kill me with this crap. You know as a GM how important it is to be able to send someone in with no worries from 50 in and highly accurate from 50 out. Yet you treat it as a backup receiver or linebacker and this is where you end up. There were a number of scrubs they could have cut to keep Butker!
