This is basically what Miami did in 2019 to get to where they are now.

Only Tepper probably knows which moves were Fitts and which were Rhule. As you told me so often when we would discuss Marty, you judge a GM by his record. Fitts' record isn't good. Tepper hires new GM. New GM hires coach. I'm pretty sure that's how the Vikings did it this past offseason.

Rhule loves those analytics right? 2019-2021 (1 year of Ron, plus Rhule's two years) ties 2000-2002, and 2010-2012 as the worst three-year stretch in Panthers history totaling just 15 wins. Rhule's Panthers must win at least 5 games this year for 2020-2022 to tie those stretches. Anything less than five wins this year and 2020-2022 will be the lowest three-year win total in Panthers history. Aside: The best three year span in Panthers history was 2013-2015 with 34 wins.

Dorsey and Florest should get long looks. I like the idea mentioned above of Lions OC Ben Johnson. Other names I'd look at: Chargers OC Joe Lombardi Miami OC Frank Smith Viking OC Wes Phillips

Close losses with spurts of looking good would have probably worked in year one (maybe it did). In year three, expectations are going to be higher.

There are multiple threads you can find where the idea that it takes "a few years to rebuild" is debunked.

I asked a former employee about this. He didn't have any current connections to verify, but said it wouldn't shock him. According to him, the Panthers are no better than third on Tepper's priorities behind his investment company and the soccer team.

Which is strange because last year, we'd start fast and then be unable to do anything in the third quarter. This year our third quarter has been better, but we look horrible to start the game.

No, I don't miss Richardson, but I do wonder how the last three years would have looked with Ben Navarro as the owner.
