  1. Here's a nice, personal story about for you about Namath. Of course Namath went to Bama. Coached by Bear Bryant there. I was going to Auburn at the time that Bear Bryant broke the then-record for career wins for a college coach at the top division level (what was then called Division 1-A). The game where he broke that record? The Iron Bowl against Auburn in 1981. I am no athlete, but I was a pretty decent musician, so I made sure to join the Auburn Marching Band when I went to college. Free football and free trips sounded fun to me. So I was on the sideline preparing for the half-time show at that Iron Bowl in 1981. A *huge* number of former Bama players that played for Bear Bryant were on the sideline for that game in order to be there for the Bear's record-breaking win (it was a closer game than they anticipated, Bama was highly ranked and Auburn was unranked and the final score was 28-17). Each and every one of those players on the sideline purposely ignored us Auburn folk... except for one. Joe Willie Namath. He was talking to a couple of reporters on the sideline and he saw a few of us Auburn band members looking at him and talking to each other (we were saying things like, "Yeah, that's Joe Namath alright") and he excused himself from the media by saying "Excuse me for a moment, I have to go over here and talk to some of my Auburn friends." And so he did. INCREDIBLY nice man. Oh, and in addition to that, even though I was and am an Auburn guy, back in the 1960's I got this incredible gift from Santa Claus:
  2. Same applies to you since your magical mathematical formula above works out to: Sam Darnold = Ryan Tannehill And you are postulating the above without providing a shred of evidence or proof.
  3. I am truly loving this Carolina Panthers off-season.
  4. I would recommend that you look up the term "good ol' boy", but I'm sure you're already VERY familiar with it.
  5. If I was a team taking on that ridiculous contract, I’d offer a conditional 7th pending Teddy Check-down carrying my team to the Super Bowl and also making 1st Team All-Pro plus a case of Gatorade. And I’d really hate to overpay with that case of Gatorade.
  6. If Fields lasts until pick 8, fall on your knees, praise the Lord, never again miss mass/church in the future, and pay extra on your tythe.
  7. Send him to prison and ruin his damn life. Unfortunately, money and influence buys the best of lawyers in our so-called “justice” system.
  8. Sorry, Cousin Clem, just my honestly held opinion. My salt is reserved for Bama and UGA. Sorry, Clem, but your Rivalry Application has been officially: Maybe try Syracuse?
  9. As an Auburn fan, let me honestly tell you this... I think Bama QB Mac Jones is the 2nd best QB in this draft behind Justin Fields. Sorry for hurting the Clemson fans in here’s feelings, but there it is. I think Lawrence has the highest “bust” potential of all the top QB prospects in this draft.
  10. Did Turner gain another 30 pounds after tweeting that?
  11. Those Auburn cornerbacks for Tampa Bay, Carlton Davis (chosen 8 picks after Donte Jackson) and Jamel Dean (chosen 57 picks after Greg Little and 22 pics after the 3rd round choice we traded away in that draft) are doing pretty darned good against those KC receivers.
  12. I've met Charles Barkley. FANTASTIC dude. However, history shows if you piss him off he'll throw you through a window.
  13. He sure does. And you can be sure he’ll be overjoyed to pocket that $20M+ worth of business in his pocket next year.
  14. I guess you forgot about all those words Rhule and Tepper said about Cam Newton last offseason pre-free agency and pre-draft.
  15. @Jeremy Igo has Trai Turner ever once slid over to RT in practice that you've observed? It just seems to me, at his size and agility, that he could at the very least play that position if called upon. Which would be a piece with the rest of the OL seemingly having cross-trained at multiple positions over the years. Now I'm not saying I'd rather he play RT than RG, just saying if there was an "emergency" on the right side, could we slide him over and let someone else play RG?
  16. Igo is wise to heed KB_fan's warning claxon... lol.
