Dream big: Imagine this future and tell me how you feel
Donald LaFell replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can’t find any room for optimism with Bryce. I’m not even in a “would love to be wrong” state of mind. I just want to move on. No matter how good he looks the rest of the season I can’t see him ever taking this team to the promised land. I can’t really even expect him to play better next season once the expectations are on again. -
I’m glad for any reason to be glad. He played so bad early I’ll never believe in him. Just hope it helps the team get better but that they find someone that doesn’t have physical limitations they need to overcome.

Hopkins is a real warrior. He schooled the DB coach on tv that one time and got the best of our number 1 corner who has his own NFL bloodlines. refs could have let things go though

I’m not sure that his ceiling is high enough but if he can get the ball to playmakers that’s a huge improvement. I’m never going to be in his camp because I don’t think he can run the entire playbook and I have zero confidence he could win a Super Bowl.

No fumbles, no injuries and maybe a play that gives him a boost of confidence

Serious Thoughts Fellas What numbers would Bryce..
Donald LaFell replied to trucpfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think these kinds of questions understate how bad he has looked and how limited he is physically. If he looked amazing I would still want the team to look for a starting QB. I still don’t expect the team to make playoffs next year so I don’t care who the QB is but you cannot consider him to be in any future plans. I think cutting him is the least distracting move and best for everyone. -
We finally get to see Brooks this week
Donald LaFell replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I expect a rookie RB to usually take it sideways and “dance” in the backfield longer than you would want. Brooks seems like he has good vision though and the o-line should give him clear holes to aim for. Chiefs game might be a rough debut but I hope he’s able to get some touches. -
Cam will be on a reality show, airing in January

lol the weather man? I think he had some substance abuse issues going on but might be doing better. -
That’s cool, I think I remember when he retired his agent explicitly mentioned him taking care of his money which I love to hear. I hope that’s still the case. I wish all players did that. Even the lower paid guys could be set up for life once they hit 3-5 million. The guys that amass a few hundred thousand will still get a good head start on life if they play their cards right.

I feel like Jenkins was only really great in 02/03, he took a long time to get back in shape. He was supposedly pretty good his first season with the Jets. Having him and Moose in 05 would have been amazing.

I think it’s important to draft winners but honestly I’m surprised any time these big school QBs do well at all. It’s gotta be a culture shock.

Bryce getting killed by the Chiefs would be better than Dalton

2026 too lol. I think this is the most behind the 8 ball the team has ever been but I’m happy to watch young players grow and get paid.

I wont be salty if Evero leaves on his own or is scapegoated but honestly i think he’s fine and the defense will get better with more talent. Front 7 needs some love.

I think Bryce has looked much better lately but it’s still not anywhere close to good enough. If we ever need him to do more he’ll be shut down.

It’s sort of good but also terrible. It kept my attention sometimes. Sort of reminds me of a different entertainment product…

I’m always rooting for him to do well and happy when he does. My mind is made up on how his NFL career will go. I’m all but positive he won’t make a roster after he leaves the Panthers. No point in having a backup that can’t run the full offense.

Bryce doesn’t deserve to compete next year. No QB looks this bad for two years and turns it around. The optimism isn’t warranted.
