I feel like this phase of the team is like when those baby sea turtles hatch and waddle to the ocean. I want them so badly to make it but there are so many misfortunes that could occur. It’s still a lot safer for my heart and brain to expect them to blow it. I’m sure the Saints know this game is winnable and they need to make it count. I think they’ll fight hard and why not sell out to stop the run? What have they got to lose?

I’m happy with Princely and Scourton with the understanding that they’ll probably be depth someday. I feel like we “hit” on them at least based on early results. If we are drafting in the middle of the 1st we’ll be too far out for some elite talent. Probably just go O line or LB at that point.

Stats don’t tell the whole tale either. Coaches sometimes really like “their guy” maybe for reasons we don’t see easily. Sometimes they are human and stick with below average players like DJ Johnson

The 2005 Monday night game had that really long Deshaun Foster stiff arm. It felt like he any another guy were tangled up for 20 yards. I think it’s on YouTube somewhere. also John Madden made Farve the co-recipient of the Horse trailer player of the game even though they lost which was so annoying lol it’s hard to think of a time that we beat the packers and it wasn’t special feeling.

Yeah I think it strained his shoulder. There is a guy that religiously wears a St. Pierre jersey in the lower level on the home side. I’ll buy him a beer some day if I happen to see him at concessions.

As long as the long term plan isn’t around Young I don’t care how they do it. I’d rather depend on a Vet or try a rookie again.

I guess if he suddenly became a strength of the team I’d change my tune but I cannot wait for this era to be over. He’s not good enough and I’d rather try “the devil you know” with a vet qb or try again in the draft. If Canales is such a great QB whisperer let him pick his own guy.

Would love a low risk high reward signing. Surprised he wasn’t a first rounder with that pedigree. Not as gifted as Horn/Surtain but I’d have to try him out.

That is true especially with 7 teams now. I guess just imaging this team winning a wildcard on the arm of Bryce would blow my mind.

I’m having a great time watching the team improve but I’m positive they are not playoff caliber.

It’s too large of a sample size to blame coaching. Bryce has missed a lot of deep balls when he’s had the chance. Tetairoa seems to be a good match for him to put the ball in a contested spot near the sideline on a deeper shot but it seems like Bryce isn’t capable of dropping something in the bucket for a big play. To be fair we don’t have a deep threat like a Ginn in the past.
