  1. Rule spent too much time on brand rather than product. You need more than platitudes and motivational slogans. You need competitive knowledge at least on par with the the rest of your peers. Its no wonder he was seen as a joke by many of the grownups around him. I'm more surprised they were able to keep their mouths shut for so long. The real wonder is what the hell took tepper so long to fire him.
  2. Seems like he'd be a good coach and say all the right things for a team full of kids. That's great high school and good college poo he was dishing out. Could be very motivational for some people....just not people depending on substance.
  3. We had an HoF caliber QB without an OL. By the time we finally got an OL, we got no QB.
  4. Going to be a 'get right' game for someone. I'll just leave it at that
  5. I hope he succeeds. I'm tired of not.
  6. I have no doubt he'll prove himself to be the best healthy QB on the roster.
  7. he never lost so he never will. get that gold jacket ready.
  8. One I liked was "you can't outpuke a buzzard" Basically, stay away from arguments that aren't going to go anywhere... arguments that just keep going round and round. There's no prize for having the last word so let them have it if it's going nowhere. You can't win an argument that never ends, so just abandon ship. There's nothing wrong with doing that.
  9. btw....this is true for anyone who keeps getting pissed off by someone's posts. just ignore them or just quit responding. don't engage if it's like talking to a doorknob or they do nothing but piss you off. no one is forced into any conversations in here.
  10. no insults. if you find that his posts are insulting to you, report them. or just ignore him if he bothers you. no one is forcing you into a conversation. you feel it's not going anywhere...just bail on it and move on.
  11. dude you kept insulting him. you can argue without insulting, you know.
  12. knock it off. mods got no dog in that "fitt is a good/bad GM" fight. it's not ok to keep insulting someone you don't agree with, regardless of how much their posting bothers you
  13. This was the first time I have heard a anthers HC speak in close to a year. Felt good to not have to sift through loads of BS and hear something from a coach who knows the game.
  14. micromanaging rhule made it hard to see what anyone could or would do without his control and influence. i wouldn't cry if we started over there, either, but i also would be curious to see how he'd be different without rhule around.
  15. if he manages to get us to the playoffs...i'm all on board with him sticking around. short of that....start over.
  16. my curiosity has been appeased. do not want. not without significant NFL experience anyways. Harbaugh would be the only one, and even then i don't know that his mindset and approach is sustainable. it's all football, but being a college coach is a very different approach to coaching than NFL.
  17. Old guys bailed as soon as he was hired. Maybe they knew.
  18. Tepper spent too much time with Rhule. It's going to take time to learn how to speak to adults again.
