Buccaneers Interested In Manziel

Tampa Bay is now apparently interested in Manziel at 7 overall. Call it a smokescreen if you'd like, but if Manziel slips out if the top 5 I could definitely see Tampa drafting Manziel and letting him and Glennon duke it out in camp.

I really see similarities in Manziels draft process that I did with Cam's, therefore I see him proving a lot of doubters wrong as Cam did.

If that is the case, how would you feel about Manziel playing for the Buc's? IMO we would have the most exciting, talented, and competitive division as far as QB 's go in the entire league.

I would love for him to go to Tampa. Hardy could set a new season high for sacks for the panthers in just 1 game.

Plus if he is the opening day starter against our defens i see good things happing. But idc i do not think his body will hold up in the nfl see rg3.

Don't ever compare Manziel to Cam

Its quite frankly ridiculous

One is

6'5

250

4.5 speed

Absolute Cannon for an arm

Has great pocket presence

The other is

5'11

205

4.7 speed

Good arm

Terrible Pocket presence

Where did I say they compare as players?

I said their draft process has been very similar. Both heavily scrutinized and misunderstood, apparently their styles don't translate, but there are teams out there that know how much potential there can be.

Never said they are similar PLAYERS.

Hell yes! If they waste their first on him I'd be so fuging happy. Manziel's got huge bust written all over him. I'd be worried if they took Bridgewater, but Bortles or Manziel, go ahead and take them. They both suck.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
