Lebron makes empty threats after McRoberts Elbow

If this was the 1980s, I'd come up swinging. But this is not the '80s. I can't do that. ... I've got to keep my composure. I get frustrated at times, but I understand how much I mean to this team.

If this was the 80's and Lebron came up swinging he wouldn't of gotten back up.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a brawl in game three.

He wouldn't have survived 80s basketball. That one foul damn near killed him. He also would not have been a very good player in the 80s because he would have needed a mid range jumper to be effective as driving the lane would have resulted in him getting crushed 10 times worse than what mcroberts did to him.

In the 80s they didn't call fouls when someone breathed on an offensive player as he drove to the basket.

Its just so ridiculous how  Lebron's comments are like hes so tough and what not. This is the same guy that layed on the ground holding his throat and no one even cared because everyone just assumed he was over exaggerating as he always does. He took a shot it was a decent one but nothing super flagrant as its being made out to be. If he ever "came up swinging" there is plenty of guys that would love to take a shot on him for real in "self defense" and knock that hairline back a few more inches.

    • So what about their sign is not compliant or causing the issue according to the rules? Them always having it, or the amount of time they have had it, or their loyalty to the team is not relevant to this situation. To be clear, I know next to nothing about this situation, just trying to clarify.  I have no dog in this fight and am emotionless on this topic. If you are breaking a rule, you do not get special treatment just because you have been here breaking it a long time.
    • The team fell for that late season averageness he displayed last year and got burned. You want to do that again? I don’t.  But I sort of do agree that we are stuck with him as the starter.  I can’t decide whether replacing him gets us into the playoffs so suffering through one last season is the price for freedom in 2026.  Three ways to be free in 2026: He actually plays like a real NFL QB,  The team sends him packing. Be completely out on tne Panthers until changes are made.
    • Short version = these people have had those seats since the beginning and haven't missed a game. They have always had their sign. They had to change the sign - I think in 2015 when Cam ripped that Packers fan's banner down (love him for that, by the way) - to be compliant and haven't had any issues in the last 10 years. The Panthers even used a photo of them and their sign in their album from the Falcons game. In the 3rd quarter last weekend it was decided that the sign needed to come down. Seems weird and unnecessary, especially since it has been there for every game for a decade.   EDIT: they've had it since 2003. Still a long-ass time.... Also "cringe" is a funny word for someone over the age of 18 who lives and overshares on the Huddle. But, ok....
