Signs point to the Bucs taking a QB with their pick.(Gabeking hates title)

Recommended Posts

It's Panthers Related since it pertains one of our NFC South rivals. The Bucs much like other teams with new regimes, are not going to commit to the last brass' QB.

Our situation was very different since we had a very talented young QB and a decent head coach. Glad Gettleman evaluated the situation and kept both.

The bucs on the other hand with the arrival of Lovie have completely over-hauled their team. They have made several key additions to their club and now with the draft, sitting in the top 10. They are more than likely getting a QB to groom behind McCown.

Who, is the question. I'm willing to bet Manziel will be the pick. It is something that come with the territory. If the bucs actually choose a QB in the first and other QB needy teams do the same.

This bodes well for our team. Other skill position players will fall and cause a chain reaction that will shift the flex pool of talent further and further. Impacting our first two picks. Here's hoping they pick a QB, besides, having another QB that helps the Bucs become relevant will only make it that much sweeter when we beat their ass this coming season again.

Ok, hear me out.  I'm probably waaaaay off and this is totally my opinion.  But does anyone feel like if Mike Glennon wasn't so fugin ugly, he'd be the guy in Tampa right now?  I mean seriously, the guy couldn't possibly become the face of the franchise and put people in the seats could he?  I know that their coaching staff is new and with that, usually comes new faces.  But, he played pretty well actually.  13 games, 59.4 completion percentage, 2608 yards, 19 TDs, and 9 ints, for a rookie thrown into the fire.  There aren't enough good QBs for everyone to have one.  So isn't it better to build off something decent, instead of playing qb carousel every year?  I don't know, they think he's ugly and don't want him to be their face.

ps, I think it's great that Tampa is starting this poo show.  I'd like to see Glennon do well in the AFC.

The Ginger Giraffe is better than any QB in this draft.

Donald seems like the perfect fit with Lovie at the helm. Evans is also a real possibility with only Jackson worth mentioning on the roster.

I don't see Manziel lasting to their pick and I think some teams are gonna regret passing on him if they do. They are also paying McCown 5 mill a season over the next 2 years. Its bad enough that addition will stunt Glennons growth who actually showed potential, drafting another QB high would really just be a bad decision IMO.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
