Greg Hardy Arrested

Recommended Posts

maybe this gives us more leverage to contract negotiations..

Gettleman: "Now Greg, we would have liked to give you all the money you were asking for, but with this arrest- how do we know this won't happen again and suspensions come down from the league?"

Kracken: "OH, they won't happen again. I promise."

Gettleman: "Well we can't be sure, so here is a revised contract with incentives to make sure nothing goes wrong."

I see it more as if Jaime dies then so will Tyrion, and there goes the bloodline. I think it was a basically a big fug you to Tywin.

You sir are correct. There's no way he fights for himself. If he loses, then Jaime will remain on the king's watch and never have an (official) heir to carry on the family name. Tywin ain't gonna let either scenario happen.

Haha... the imp is the smartest mofo in the kingdom.

I'm sorry, but if you're being attacked by a woman you have the right to defend yourself. Of course, domestic violence is always one-sided but the law is there to protect both sex's.

- if you're being attacked by a woman

a. If it's not your house ----> leave

b. If it is your house -----> call the cops

I don't know why this is so hard to understand

A man should never place a hand on a female in a threatening manor unless she's endangering your life with a weapon or unless she' one of those huge ass professional wrestlers.

What?! Have you read the books? I love that dastardly imp!

I know he'd sacrifice his brother just to spite his father and sister.

He loves Jaime. But his after telling everyone to go drink poison who would fight for him?

That is all that I am saying. Take it the GoT thread in Nerdvana

Has anything happened to Ray Rice since his incident? Or are they still waiting to see if he will be punished?

Sorry if this has been discussed already.

I assume waiting. Pro teams tend to let the courts decide guilt and then act from there. There are some exceptions...rookie gets charged with felony on a min contract...just let him go

I don't think you understand what some women are capable of when they're angry.

    • i love people with no medical experience making tenuous assumptions based on, uh, the fact his dad sucked in every practical lab in med school and had to go into psychiatry its fun to think of what these same fans would be saying with any other profession "well his dad was a cardiologist so obviously he knows how to stay calm." "well his dad was a neurologist so oviously he keeps his brain waves at a low level and isn't at risk of seizure, which is good (obviously)." "well his dad is a surgeon so he knows how to overcome his lack of confidence over height." "well his dad was a pediatrician so that's why he looks like a child, but kids don't get injured easily and have limitless potential so-"
    • Oh it’s made the decision easier knowing we were years away from competing. He just obviously didn’t think it was some sort of clown show as he took a job with that staff and still hangs around to help. Injuries were the major concern. Willis retired “early” as well, plus there was another very young LB in SF that did. Positions that take a lot of impact are starting to not push themselves too late in their careers to protect their long term health.
    • Obviously his health was the reason but the state of the team definitely helped. Luke doesn't strike me as someone who cares about individual accomplishments much at all. He loved the game and he wanted to win with the Panthers.  He wouldn't risk his life to go chase a ring elsewhere. It was difficult for him to step away from a team that was bad, if the Panthers were serious contenders I really think he would have tried to see it through.  Everything worked out the way that it was meant to in the end. It was sad seeing his career cut short but if he had a suffered a serious injury from football I can't even imagine. EDIT: To be clear I don't think the medical staff was part of his decision at all. It just helped that the team was far from winning a SB when he bowed out.
