Domestic Battery.  The only Non-Felony where you lose the right to own any type of firearm for the REST OF YOUR LIFE. My wife could be beating me senseless and I wouldn't even defend myself based on the potential risk of losing that right.

 

He could try to fight this order, but it would just look worse in the court of public opinion. I am so excited we will get to hear about this for the whole season!!! :(

Ms. Holder asked that the guns be confiscated in the protective order. Judge Tin agreed.  No big deal as far as that's concerned.

My wife works with the local PD.

So I've learned a lot.

Plus a coworker went through this a couple of years ago.

Him and his gf were drunk, she gets mad over something stupid, starts assulting him, he has to hold her down to protect himself.

Just like in most cases, it doesn't matter what is said. The female is automatically assumed to be the victim. So they arrested him. He is an AVID hunter. Has more firearms than Hardy. His lawyer recommended that he sell his guns to a family member, to avoid them being taken.

Hardy is lucky he isn't in texas, were it's an automatic felony.

I think it speaks volumes that Hardy wasn't arrested at the scene.  Pretty much tells me that the cops weren't buying her story.
