The success or failure of a player ultimately falls on nobody else but themselves at the end of the day. These are grown men.

You or I were never on the practice fields or game fields with him or any other player to know what he did or did not do.

Honestly this scapegoating of Steve Smith for our ineptitude at developing a WR is pathetic.

I doubt KB is sitting around worrying about whether or not he has a "mentor".

You can watch Steve smiths attitude on the sidelines every game and with all of today's technology we can find out a lot. I agree it's not his job to help develop WRs but having a player who is past his prime and still acts a fool on the sidelines isn't appealing to a lot of people.

Stop gaps and teammates. The teammates part is where they will be valuable to younger guys trying to learn the nuances of the professional game.

Depends on what your definition of a teammate is. Is it a guy who is just your buddy and coddles you, never saying something you don't want to hear? Or is it a guy who pushes you and lets you know when you've made a mistake so that you don't get complacent and think that mistakes are acceptable?

Not sure anybody said that it was...

We are reading different threads then.

That last part is opinion based.

Our franchise quarterback penned a hand written letter to said player who is "past his prime", and "not appealing to a lot of people".

Last time steve made it to the pro bowl, he bought tickets for all the WRs to go to hawaii with him because he said it was a team effort and he wouldn't have made it if it weren't for the other guys clearing space for him to work.

So everyone can shut up about steve not being a good teammate right meow. He is getting up in age, he wasn't used to the best of his abilities last year, and Gettleman wanted Luke and Cam to step up and be leaders That's why he is gone.

Steve Smith is past his prime.

Steve Smith is not an easy person to get along with.

These are facts, not opinions.

So how much time have you spent with Steve Smith on the football field?

How many teammates has SS punched/sucker punched?

Stop acting like he is an angel.

I love Steve, loved what he has done here, but some of this is just BS.
