Proehl: "Trying to get the greatest show on turf to training camp..."

While it is true that they would, do you see the potential in them to really benefit from it? For example the receiver formerly knwon as Dwayne Jarrett could have done wonders with that guidance to hone in on his skill and teach him to be a professional.

That was Jarrett's own fault.

It's almost always a positive to have guys who have achieved great things come and talk yo your young guys (assuming they listen, of course).

When I saw this tweet come across I kinda squeaked like a lil kid!

IF they can get them to show up and help the WR's on the team, I don't see how that would be a bad thing at all.

I mean, it couldn't hurt. That's for sure.

It just feels good to hear of the potential coming up this season.

The other young guys like King and McNutt, etc would benefit too.

there's also that philly brown kid and also the young TEs might benefit as well.

we've got a young group of pass catchers with a good bit of potential.

Not only would it help the young guys it would also benefit the veterans.  Those guys were a unit.  Working hand in hand.  Getting those guys together and get them to buy into this is a unit not 3 or 4 receivers working individually to try and get open.

Good God.   This is perfect for an entire unit.  They get that engrained in their heads as they start as a unit.

That was such an awesome group of receivers.   They earned the name Greatest Show on Turf.

Good point.

More than one player has said that sometimes former players, especially successful ones, can give you insights that a guy who's primarily just been a coach can't.

I think that's why a lot of the players are so fiercely loyal to Rivera.  He's one of them.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
