i'm curious about stewart and williams too.

news is stewart looks good, but i'm concerned about williams dealing with the passing of his mother. that's not something everyone can bounce back from and get refocused so soon.

No it's not

Very tough time for DWill...likely the worst time of his life.  He will not be at his best in the near future.  However, my guess is that he will dedicate the season to his mother and when the games count he will have a purpose.  Pain never goes away.  30+ years for me.  Just like yesterday.

If nothing else, I like Chandler at LT solely for being more athletic than Bell if it truly is an open competition. His athleticism will allow him some leeway on his mistakes. Bell, yeah he'll stand there blocking air.

Not to mention Cam has a better view of Bell at RT, not allowing him to get blindsided into next week.

I wonder if Gettleman knew what he had in Chandler prior to the draft and kept quiet to smokescreen for the WR selection. A few weeks ago I went back and looked at tape when Chandler was lined up at OT and he wasn't bad, great footwork and decent blocking. Now that he's had a year to acclimate to playing offensive line and getting his body right, watch out for him to step in at LT and do well.

He actually stated several times when addressed with this problem. "Most of the time the answer is on your roster". He has been pretty honest and straightforward yet people keep thinking that Dave is throwing smokescreens everywhere.

Kugzilla definitely looks fat as fug.

What exactly is going on with his knee? I thought he went to IR due to hamstring issues?

He tweaked his hammy then he Bojangled his knee. Straight up Cajun filleted the ACL and dirty rice takes time to simmer.

    • Icky was always a weak pass blocker come out of college. Cross was the premier pass blocker in that class. Much easier to learn run blocking than pass blocking. I never expected Icky to ever become an elite pass blocker. If he was average, that's all I really expected. I did expect him to be an absolute mailer in the run game.
    • We aren’t in danger of being in the basement anymore and if we keep drafting well we could get to the playoffs after a while. I don’t mind if we get a new QB and coach eventually but we are “stable” and I’m grateful for it.
    • I prefer 9-8. Reason being, winning season shows overall improvement and is the 1st step to establishing a winning culture. Backing into the playoffs with a losing record doesn't show you earned anything. It's the product of a weak division. If playoffs were based off records, most likely you're not going because another team(s) have a better record.  Chances are too, the next season, you're going to have a tougher schedule and a couple of those bounces that went your way are going to go the other direction and it's another losing season and no playoffs.  There have been 5 teams to get into the playoffs with a losing record. The 2014 and 2025 Panthers are 2 of those teams. Losing record trip 3 isn't exactly something I would be proud of doing. We have 9 playoff appearances so far, 2 of them simply because we won a shitty division. Another one would mean 30% of our appearances are only because we were the least stinky turd. That's a stat I'd want to flush.
