49ers playoff game

The offense needs to make a minor adjustment this year I think. We always snapped the ball with 1 second on the play clock. They need to vary when they snap the ball this year. The 49ers in the playoff game picked up that we always snapped the ball on 1 and that helped them get a good pass rush against us. Does anybody think the coaching staff picked up on that in the playoff game?

I actually hope they do fix that because they were doing it so well they offsided twice towards the end of the game and the refs didn't even call it.

That's got me a little worried but it's not that big of an adjustment. Hopefully they fix that this season also.

9ers game doesn't phase me much.   Ref rulings seemed lopsided that game,  letting the 9er WRs get away with headbutt after headbutt,  but one of our guys even scrape a 9er helmet....and it's an automatic flag for 15 yards,  every.single.time.

The good news was,  up in Seattle,  it seemed like the Seahawks could do no wrong,  and the 9ers got what was coming to them.    Even if it wasn't at our hands,   it still felt good to see. Sadly.

The game that ticked me off was the Saints game in N.O.   Every time our defense hit anyone of their offense with any kind of force,  the ref threw the flag.   The refs literally took the toughness out of our defense that game...by the second half,  you could see our defense just basically gave up and stopped really trying.   Saints defense was the only defense allowed to run around and be physical that night.

    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
    • Honestly its why that Jalen Coker grab was a big deal.  I'd been warming up to the idea of a sadiq pick and was adamantly against a receiver...but this altered my train of thought.  I mean For instance, Cade Otton signed for 3 yr 30 mil contract...thats not dramatically different than the rookie payscale for #19 (4 year 20 mil with 5th year option), however you KNOW otton is decent...no clue if Sadiq will be anything.
