Do you have a second team to root for?

If you are over 30 you probably have another team or two that you like. It's not like you kick the team you have followed your entire life to the curb the day the Panthers arrived. I gravitated to the Panthers from Washington and Danny Boy Snyder made it pretty painless. Thankfully my hate for Dallas was developed many years ago.

Panthers period.  Now, instead of having a 'second team', I have a top five, in order of hate, that I root against.....

1.  New Orleans  -  the armpit of America, a toilet, their fanbase sucking off of FEMA while going to games with season tix?  Screw them.

2.  Dallas  -  another toilet, a prick owner, and a city who couldn't secure a grassy knoll.

3.  Pittsburgh  -  the city smells, their fans smell, and their claim to fame Iron City beer is horse piss.

4.  Green Bay  -  idiots who wear fake blocks of cheese on their heads while worshiping at the feet of a delusional bipolar asshole coach.  Enough said.

5.  Denver  -  never liked Mr. Ed as a QB or an exec.  Even easier to hate now with the overrated QB with the billboard-sized forehead and the gum-chewing dunce on the sideline.

I had a couple different favorite teams growing up, Then one day when I was about thirteen or so decided to drop all my rooting interests and just enjoy watching the game.

That lasted until the Panthers came along.

These days, I have teams that I like and teams I strongly dislike, but none that I'd call a 'second favorite'.

Truth be told, that's probably a lot of people.

No. Death before dishonor. I have a borderline homo obsession with the Panthers. Didn't start that way. At first I was homo about Cam.....but it's different now.

I spent the best years of my life at Camp Lejeune in NC....So it's only a natural progression. Black Cats till death.

I've started to follow the Jaguars just because I know what it's like having multiple losing seasons. Panthers won more games in 2013 than the Jaguars did the past three seasons combined.

not to mention they are our teams twin brother born at the same time with a similarly large chip on their shoulder after years of failure (albeit far more failure than us ) and the funny coincidence that a jaguar is a panther with different coloration lol

you do realize that they proved that shooter wasn't on a grassy knoll but in a building ? Even so I like your enthusiasm

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
