Cribbs is a receiver though.

He's primarily a return specialist at this point.

 

But Cribbs is actually capable of playing several positions.  He's been used at running back before and can even be an emergency quarterback.

 

And there's precedent for that.  We used to switch the designation on Michael Bates between receiver and runningback depending on where we had more depth, but in realty he did very little outside of being a returner.

Yeah but we have Mike fuggin' Tolbert. As far as I'm concerned he should be our feature back this season. Dude is money in short yardage and the passing game and I guarantee he is more effective between the tackles than DeAngelo is at a fraction of the cost.

Make a big back a feature back and sometimes the wear and tear is too much (take Michael Turner, for example).
