Welp the next *big Marvel film opens this weekend. "Guardians of the Galaxy" will introduce us to the broad cosmic Marvel  universe, which will ultimately lead us into Phase Three of Marvel's plan, at which point the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy will (supposedly) team up to save the universe.

 

Early buzz for GOTG couldn't be stronger. It's already being hailed by some as the best Marvel film to date. I read a couple of folks saying this film made them feel like a kid again with how fun and imaginative it is. I can't wait to take my 13 year old "little brother".

 

Early screenings begin Thursday night around 7pm.  I've heard you should see it on the biggest, most 3D screen you can find.

 

 

Can't wait.

No, but you're the only one who felt the need to voice their opinion. I'm sure there are many, many things you like that a lot of people think suck but we don't feel the need to spoil what you enjoy.

I just looked up Marvel movies and the only Marvel movie I have ever watched is Howard the Duck.

 

With that said, I kind of want to take my 10 year old daughter to see this but I am not sure it is a good idea. I think I am being fooled into thinking it will be ok because there is a fox in it. My daughter is sensitive to violence and adult language of any kind.

Probably not the best idea. As Rocket is a maniac who likes to kill people.

      I miss many of the OGs like @ladypanther Zob had a bad off week and came in here to do some mopping and a couple of the 10 year 15k post account he just banned over a silly disagreement, just odd behavior from Zob. A Pessimal deal happened with Lady and others. I tired to find a new forum and could not get around the signing up part...same for discord. Its not perfect here by any means, but I still feel welcomed here for the most part and this place does have the most freedom. I hate how the right vs left BS nearly cooked this place, I still believe in removing the litterbox, toxic as hell and lollolols @ anyone coming into a team forum to talk about pointless politics of the uni party turds.  @Bear Hands you saved this place with your activity. It helped offset the lost of OGs and the knowledgeable that leftd.    It would help for new members and I do get the spammers deals, just got to mod them away and hope opening the door brings in fresh blood.

      That seems about right. No higher than that for a bottom third qb with two years left, including one expensive year. He played well enough last year to show he is startable. It depends on whether other teams thought he has any upside left and whether he's been hindered by coaching and surrounding cast. I think most teams would answer no, but if they thought he could step it up just a little I could see trading a fourth or fifth for a bridge guy/top tier backup.
