Hey don't complain man! I'll take #8

Definitely not complaining! Like I said it's reasonable. I'm gonna go Byron Bell on somebody if I see another thing disrespecting us. We go on like a 9 game winning skid, start 1-3 yet finish 12-4 and win the division and still get no respect because we lost an aging receiver, a slighty above average safety and an older pro bowl LT. Nobody understands that our WR core will be better of this year than last, and that we just got 2 safety players just like Mitchell and Chandler has stepped up as well as Bell. In all honesty Gross wasn't THAT great either last year, just has always been an household name. Would I like him back? Hell yeah, but he's not a Cam Newton or a Luke Kuechly, which brings me to my next point, our Defense is still here and possibly even better. Fug the media I can't wait to prove them wrong again.

No way the Eagles are a playoff team next year unless the Skins, Cowboys or Giants can't get above 9-7. Eagles defense is bottom 5 in the entire league and Foles had a fluke year. He's a terrible QB. Defenses will adjust to Chip Kelly's offense and they'll probably be somewhere around 8-8, probably worse.

Interesting...has us at 8, with the Saints at 12. This is a very reasonable power ranking, except they have the Eagles at 5...am I blind or something or are the Eagles vastly overrated. I can't name one person on their defense, and I don't believe the hype of Foles.

Because it's preseason rankings.

That said, I like us at #8 overall.

IMO, rankings are about as useful as an ejection seat on a helicopter.

Ranking don't mean poo! We all know this. The only rankings that mean anything are those called "Standings". The rest of these so call "Rankings" are just a scam to get hits on a webpage, blog, etc...

I found a saying I have never heard of on teh interwebs today.  day is complete.

On the rankings I honestly don't have a problem with any rankings of us from 1 to 20 as long as we are ahead of falcons and bucs.

And I also see having the eagle high in preseason rankings.  I can see them coming out of the gate hot like they did last year and that division sucks.

Instead of ejecting up, eject down, through the floor of the helicopter. Next problem.

    • I see Bryce's development this way: He improved when his supporting cast improved.  TMac and Dowdle saved his arse last year, but in fairness, most good QBs have good WRs and good RBs--and good OLs.   The 2025 OL underperformed, actually. They were above average, but they should have been elite if you consider the salary cap.   As soon as we signed Lewis and Hunt, I started thinking, "That's not sustainable.  With Ickey about to get paid a LT salary, Moton and Hunt grabbling $50m per season combined, and Lewis around $17m--that would be nearly $100m and the Center just walked.  Yikes.  What does that mean?  Rico walks, Mays walks, and we do not have a top 5 WR on a second contract.  We do not have an elite TE, and only 1 is on a modest second contract. And now Bryce will demand $50m for his incremental rise to mediocrity?   So when we sign Bryce, we will get weaker at other positions.  Hunt, Moton, maybe Ickey and Lewis, will all be casualties--that is the right move regardless (not sure yet about Ickey, but he was not elite) Bryce is one lucky, entitled camper.  No competition since being drafted, and he lost his job for a while to the aging clipboard holder.  Now we are bringing in UDFAs and busts to compete with him.
    • Probably not.  If we are taking a QB, it would be a prospect to replace Bryce and not a flyer type player.  I can't say for sure, but I doubt he would have cracked the top 3-4 QBs even if he were to play this coming season.
    • The Giants, Cardinals  and Dolphins should have moved on, but they didn't and ended up cutting their QB early into a monster second contract and had to eat a TON of dead cap money.
