2 TE sets

Recommended Posts

Question for those of you who have been to training camp, is this something that the offense has been implementing or is it mostly hear say and fan coaches suggesting, and if so who is making a better case for the second TE( Dickson or B.Will) I SINCERELY hope this is something Shula plans on using and expanding on this year! Not only in terms of being dynamic and slinging the ball around but to also help out our suspect tackles in the run game!

We've been keeping 4 TEs. Three TEs and then Brockel the backup FB/TE.

I just always saw Brockel as more of a FB.  I'm encouraged to hear reports that guys like Williams have been spending some time in the backfield as well.  Nothing against Brockel, but it would be nice if we could have a more dynamic player occupying that backup FB/TE roster spot.

    • On one hand, Renfrow being out for as long as he has makes me question whether or not he can take on a full season. AT is older, but might have more in the gas tank than Renfrow does currently. On the other, Jalen Coker and Jimmy Horn Jr can both rotate in as the slot for Renfrow. It's a nice position to be in where the Panthers maintain all of the leverage.
    • Meanwhile, Davis Mills is all the competition Houston needs. /s If only they were a dynastic team like the Raiders who have the infallible Aidan O'Connell and now the Kenny Pick6 in the room. That's a team built for back-to-back-to-back Super Bowls. 😛
    • I think it's more likely they finish ahead of GB and Chicago, although anything is possible in that division.
