The video is of Nate Chandler getting his poo rocked by Marcell Dareus. I remember seeing that live and hoping that it was a reserve.

I've watched that video a few times and rewatched that play live on dvr. #99 flashed to the RG spot where turner had just gone up field to block the LB. With the size differential and the fact that the movement was crunched towards the C there was next to nothing Chandler could have done to stop that lineman. The fact that he got thrown to the ground makes it look horrible, which it was, but it was a blown blocking scheme or turner missed his assignment, IMHO.

Dareus freelanced and made the whole thing look worse than it was. Turner should have probably chipped Dareus but even then the play is designed to get Turner on the linebacker (who he missed) and Chandler to impede Dareus starting from his outside shoulder. Since Dareus abandoned the gap immediately there was no way Chandler was going to be able to get his hands on him, much less block him.

    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
