They asked PGA golfers which NFL player they would most like to be...

You'd be surprised how many Brits enjoy watching the panthers. Class recognising class I guess.

Someone from the UK was telling me that Cam is pretty huge marketing-wise across the pond.  Just wondering if another Englishman could cosign that statement... because that's pretty cool if true.

We don't get his endorsements but seeing his grin all over breport and SI is a small factor. It's mainly the fact that a lot of Brits are recently picking NFL back up after a break in the early 2000s. Mainly due to more terrestrial coverage and NFL network. Carolina are seen as a less flash/more work team that are up and coming over the last few years and that gets respect over here.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
