Pam Oliver questions to Cam?

That's a racial slur, don't know if you intended it to be or not. It won't be addressed tho because of the double standard around here.

Not one ounce of racism intended.  If I have offended you I apologize.

Either way, she was only asking the questions she was told to ask.  She's a robot.  Better?

That's why I said I didn't know if you intended it to be or not. I'm myself not offended, just pointed out that it's a sensitive thing coming from the black community. For others who have responded, I can't make you understand being black I just can't. Just know that using the word monkey and a black person in the same sentence is a very very touchy thing.

Everyone here has seen remember the titans correct? "I'm not doing anything to help that monkey" tossing him the banana. It's a racist slur, doesn't matter the intent, and I'm not offended just pointing it out.

Sigh. [*sarcastically*] How was it a loaded question laced with opinion.

It was a well-formed question designed to get a

real answer that a player can't just BS around or give a non-answer to. She could have just asked, "How is your rapport with the new receivers," to which Cam could just say, "good," or, "fine," or give some rehearsed, longer BS response that basically said "good" or "fine."

That's the mark of a good reporter. And that you can't distinguish between the two, again, is why we will have blonde airheads doing this job from now on. Because when a woman asks something incisive, she is labelled as clueless because her questions don't jive with the narrative that male fans want to hear.

Enjoy years of, "Hey, Cammy Cam! You're just the best! What is your favorite color?"

She started with the question, "How Are you in the patience department?" Then she inserted her opinion and conjecture in the statement "which you are going to need a LOT of."

She doesn't know that to be a reality. As far as anyone knows at this point, This could be Cams easiest and most successful year at QB.

She could have made that statement based on the fact that he overthrew Kelvin Benjamin by 5 yards (because he doesn't know him, his speed, his separation, etc. yet). Or the fact that he went 4 for 9 in his first game action. That was pretty observable to anyone with eyes and brain cells.

The fact is that he will need patience in order to develop a rapport with a bunch of receivers he doesn't know from Adam and has had limited time to work with coming off an injury.

If you think it's a slight against him, then you are way too protective of Cam.

It was a fine question from a professional reporter.

Agree to disagree. Everybody's entitled to their own interpretation of what was said. Even though I disagree with your interpretation, I'm not going to "hate" you for it.

The black zookeeper fed a banana to a monkey at the zoo.

    • I do think the rating is fair given how this unit hasn’t proven it with production. I understand you have to rank off production, not potential. However, our unit is also in a position to make this rating look foolish a year from now. We have 4 guys in the WR/TE room who all could legitimately take the next step this year, and catapult our rank. A guy under a lot of people’s radar after we took Tet, Jalen Coker. Mark my words, he will become the star of this room, and be the heir to Thielen.
    • Exactly. You’d think 2-7 wins a year (in a 17 game season no less) since 2017 is going to keep us bottom tier. Every year we say the same poo like we haven’t been a bad team the past 7 years. Until we prove we aren’t a bottom dweller, that’s where we’ll stay ranked. God forbid we have OL injuries like 2016.
    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
