Trade Idea: Bills WR TJ Graham?

For example, the #Bills have had WR T.J. Graham on the trade block for several months, sources said.

I know most of us are fairly confident in our WR corps, but Graham is a former 3rd round pick and played college ball in the state at NCSU. He's entering his 3rd season and for his career has 54 rec, 638 yards and 3 TDs. 4.41 40 and was the ACC career leader in kickoff return yards with 3,153. If he could be had for a late round pick, I think it would be well worth it.

Honestly, I'd like to see him brought on board, but he was never very special as a kick returner at State.  He was good for only about 1 return TD a year, and another couple long ones.  However, he does have the speed to take the top off a defense and the height to catch it over a defender if necessary.  But he lacks consistency and has for his whole career.  Maybe playing at home would be a good motivator for him, or maybe Proehl can iron out his consistency problems, but I just have a feeling it wouldn't work out.

I see him as being a replacement for Ted Ginn, who I still don't think we've actually replaced this year. I think the one thing we're lacking in our WR corps is a guy who can be a burner and take the top off a defense like Ginn did last year. Maybe that's Brown, but if we can send a 6th or 7th round pick to get Graham, I'd rather use him in that role as he's at least shown he has the pedigree for that.

I think he's worth a late round flier if that's all the Bills are looking for, and maybe playing for his home team will give him an extra bit of motivation.

Brown and King have the speed to take the top off of a defense.  Philly has kick/punt return experience.  They're both already on the roster, and wouldn't cost us anything extra to keep them.  There's no need to look for returners.  Only a few are really good anyway, and we can't afford them.

For people on mobile (this is in the OP):

hmmm....I'm not mobile but I do see where it looks like something is missing in the first post. Looks like a grey outline but with nothing in it.

*Weird.....now it's there.

I see the Bills cutting Graham. They have a loaded WR corp and I've been expecting it for a while.

If that happens scoop him up.

True. Wouldn't hurt to toss out a conditional 7th round pick to ensure we'd get him though (as he'd be subject to waivers if released).

    • You bring up a good point on the stability part and i would agree that probably will factor into it. But yes, Tepper does have a strong influence on who stays/goes but I still believe ultimately it'is Morgan, Tilis and Canales who will decide.
    • I can always count on yout to put things so delicately lol. I'm still not sold on the fact that Tepper will make them keep him if they don't see him as a long term answer.
    • holy poo... this thread inspired me to keep trying to guess passwords to various alts I've created over the years and I finally got in! I pretty much accepted my fate as a lurker for the last several months because I could not remember my password. I didn't realize that new users couldn't join either, that explains things. I have been around for years under several different monikers, through the good and bad. I too always find myself coming back here even with all of the new social media options for Panther fan engagement. It's simply nostalgic.   I do get extremely annoyed with the same 5-10 posters shitting on Bryce and complaining about everything. It's unfortunate that half of them are mods and that nobody new can join because now I pretty much just come on here and see Bryce / Panther slander. There is barely any positivity to be had. We all watch this team and hang on this forum for entertainment purposes only. We have no control or say in anything. I used to be such a crazy ass fan that would argue with strangers about Cam newton on the internet and at games. Now, as a father of 3, a business owner and someone with way gnarlier life problems - I like to watch football and talk about football as an escape. Not to bitch more. I really like the direction of the team and will root anyone in a Panthers jersey. I live down the street from the Rams practice facility, Matthew Stafford is currently coaching his daughters flag football team in the same program I coach my sons. I have two highly ranked Rams staff members sons on my team. The way we beat them and had them on the ropes in the playoffs has me feeling amazing, and you would think we have the next great thing in Bryce with the way they all speak of him. I'm gonna ride that high and be a delusional fan, I hope that huddle can stick around or get fixed and perhaps I will get back to posting more now that I can log in again. I will do my best to not get banned. Keep Pounding!
