Rogers didn't start till third year and didn't go to the playoffs till his fifth.

Manning didn't get to the playoffs till his fourth.

Brady went in his second year.

So in summation.....stfu you're clueless

My definition of a Franchise QB.  A QB you are going to ride until the wheels fall off.

There isn't a QB I would trade Cam for.

As Fieryprophet so kindly put.  There has never been a perfect QB.  Sure some are better than others.  What we occasionally lose with accuracy we gain with Cam's ability to extend the plays.    He would possibly have the most comebacks by a QB in his first 3 years had we not has such a crappy defense in years 1 and 2.

What we lose in errors we gain in crunch time press.  You only have to watch the N.E. and the N.O. game (2nd one) last year to see if the game is on the line. Cam is going to step up and make something happen.

I've said it before.  When we have the ball.  I do not move from where I am sitting because I could miss something special.  Everytime Cam touches the ball there is a good possibility that he is going to do something awesome.

So my answer to your question.  Cam is a franchise QB.  We drafted him to be our Franchise QB and he will be our Franchise QB for the next 10 years or so.

As long as Shula is here, I'm not sure it's possible to gain a real sense of how well Cam has progressed or not. It is very encouraging that he stepped up when we needed him last year in crunch time though.

When healthy Cam can do things no one else can. Problem is we expect him to do those things every time he touches the ball and that is not realistic. He's never had a great line, or great receivers. We have been in cap hell ever since he's been here and are still in cap hell but making progress.

Cam is not healthy at the moment so we shouldn't expect superman for the first few games. If he can play reasonably well and we get a few wins that should shut up the critics. We need at least one more year to get things right with the cap and then I think we begin to surround Cam with better talent. In my opinion the sky is still the limit for this great young talent and I am damn proud to have him as our starting QB.
