Only NFL predictions are that Kap goes on IR for rhinoplasty (non football related beak reconstruction)  and that teams scoring more than their opponent will win the game 100% of the time.

Huddle over-reaction prediction(s):

1.  5, no, make that 8 threads with topics about how bad Bell sucks

2.  4-6 Threads about Panthers getting disrespected in (input media source) power rankings

3.  2 threads about Shula not being a good coordinator

4.  3 threads about if we only had 89

    • Agreed. This is why I believe we should get a veteran Inside linebacker. The market is prime to pick one up.
    • My big issue with Mesidor in the 1st is that he's a 6th year college player who will be a 25 year old rookie. I mean, we're talking about a guy who's as old as some guys are when we're talking about second NFL contract. A literal man playing amongst boys. Will that translate when everyone else on the field is a grown ass man too? I get really nervous about these older prospects who blow up in their final year of college play. He's not quite XL level where XL did practically nothing before his final year but Mesidor's final year was definitely the anomaly. He went from solid college player who might get an NFL opportunity to being talked about as a 1st round prospect. That's a HUGE red flag for me.
    • Every player can't be a top 20 at their position. We have to get out of that mindset. The good key players at key positions will fill in the gaps for them AND help them improve over time. Bring in FAs that are good enough. Not the best FA at his position or a great player or even a particularly good player. Just an NFL level talent. The good key players that fill in the gaps should be acquired through the draft. That is why you get the best player available unless it's a position you already have a good key player there. Exception is if your team is on the cusp of having a super bowl team, and a few plays a game will actually make the difference. Then you chase the big time FAs to get you over the hump. You don't spend on big time FAs when you know you're 3-4 years away from competing. The cap and average length of NFL careers aren't built for that.
