Panther Realities, Week 1

Wow crazy posts here today.  People do realize we won the game with a backup QB and we went way conservative on the play calling when we were up 17-0.  Lessons learned but we still picked up a W on the road, TB the team everyone is well was saying was going to have the break out year.  Our O-line did a decent job with a less than mobile QB, our running game looked decent, our WR looked decent.  Oh for midseason we were ok, wait this was week 1. come one guys, good things ahead.  Take the W and look forward to supporting the team next week and the week after and after.  KEEP POUNDING!!!

That is the problem. We don't want to see any conservative poo. You put the foot on their throat and finish them off. Don't stop what is working.

Same on D.

I couldn't be happier.  We won a division game on the road with our #2 QB.  DWill had a great game, but IMHO I think he benefits from a healthy JStew.  O-Line play was good, and the front 7 were head hunters all day.  I'll take this for week one.  We can only improve from today.

I think the they will look at that for sure and make corrections.  Coaching staff did a good job last year making changes and I'm sure they wanted to keep some stuff saved up for a real high powered offense ie next week.  KEEP POUNDING!!!

Because you will not allow 14 every week and you are giving the other team "a chance" to win every week even AFTER pitching a complete shutout for 3 and a half quarters as we so clearly saw today. TB should have been dead in the hole with ZERO chance of winning that game midway through the 4th quarter. We can thank TB's S for dropping an easy INT TD to give them the lead and most likely the win late.

What is wrong with averaging 27-31?

Nothing is wrong with it, it's just fugging hard to do that. You're talking about a super good offense. Our best offense in my opinion was in 08 and we averaged like 28-30 a game for a stretch and it was impressive as hell but obviously we weren't able to sustain it. Our best bet is a methodical ball control offense that drains clock and rests our awesome defense. If we keep those guys fresh, we can be scary good.

Realities: We were a dropped INT away from losing

Realities: we are one bullsh@%t roughing the passer call from winning bigger than we did. We could start pointing out play after play to show a win or loss. But we won. A division win. Enjoy it. Let the team polish up mistakes.

Realities: We were a dropped INT away from losing

Reality: one play (let alone one that didnt happen) doesn't determine a game

if you want i can go back a nitpick somethings and tell you how close we were to winning 34-0

edit: oh yea and at that time it was 17-14 so you are making A LOT of assumption. they still have to earn their points.

88 Olsen had a great week. He showed a Steve Smith-esque passion I havent seen from him before.

KB>Mike Evans

Steve Smith can still play and no way we shoulda done him dirty like that.

For 3 Quarters our Defense was essentially flawless. If we can last all 4 Quarters we're easily Top 2 Defense in NFL.

Best D-line in NFL not named J.J. Watt.

Keek is Keek, best player on the team.

Derek Anderson is better than Jake Delhomme ever was.
