Johnson restructures?

Don't see how making room in the interim (pushing the hit into the future) makes room for a Cam extension. He's in the last year of his rookie deal regardless, any new deal would take effect next season.

Smells like a trade, as I doubt anyone on the wire will cost $5.2m.

Actually Cam's contract is through the 2015 season.  He will be making around 14 million next season.

yea I'm betting it's Cam- Panthers want to jump on it before some team hands out an idiotic contract that moves Cam's number up. Cam and Keek are the only priorities

Reason I'm thinking it a extension for Keek.  $3.5 million this year with signing bonus.  Next year is $4 mill.  As team leader you want them making what they deserve.  Keek is grossly under paid.

It's Cam money. Probably have been/are in talks with Cam about his contract, and getting CJ's contract right for the next couple of years helps give a clearer picture of our future cap to help map out Cam's deal.

Hardy is gone, it's not for him. Can't see it being a trade after Week 1, either. Unless it would be for a guy expiring soon.

For who?

My guess a O lineman, we are pretty much set at every other position.

    • I’m really having a hard time understanding how this actually went down. -Renfrow expected to make roster as 2nd/3rd string. -Panthers cut Renfrow; Keep Brycen Tremayne, and add UDFA receiver (Dalevon Campbell) to active roster.  -Canales/Morgan say it’s totally up to Hunter whether he wants to come back or not, they would love to have him.    -Renfrow not signed to PS -Panthers trade Adam Thielen -Hunter Renfrow signed to active roster with a raise after an injury to Coker nobody heard about and is likely to start.    Our WR room is now: -Xavier Legette (2024 1st round pick) -Tet McMillan (2025 1st round pick) -Hunter Renfrow (1 year out of the league) -David Moore (Canales’ friend? A guy way past his prime) -Jimmy Horn (Likely a Shi Smith reprint, but has potential 2025 6th round pick, weighs 174 lbs) -Brycen Tremayne (2023 UDFA who was on Washington’s PS for 2 years and caught 1 pass for -2 yards and averaged 300 yards per year at Stanford) -Dalevon Campbell (2025 UDFA had a good preseason but had 1463 yards and 3 TDs over 5 college seasons at 3 different schools). What the hell is going on?
    • Not uncommon for week 1 games. Especially against good defenses. It’s why I prefer my team play these small schools week 1 if they are going to play them. Gives the offense time to get calibrated.
