yeah it could have been better...but it was still better than most other things on...my wife even got into it...but she was n0t sure what to think of Maurice Drew(?) runnig that 40 in his white semi-see-thru shorts.

"he should be wearing black spandex...not white...i can see his 'stuff' is jiggling all over the place."

LOL!

i still think the compepetition is between martin and wilson for the #3 job but Munnerlyn playing so well could mean the end of wesley..

Captain is real good at jamming receivers and chucking receivers,” said Panthers starting cornerback Richard Marshall. “He’s surprised a lot of the guys on defense. He’s doing a lot of good things… Sometimes Captain is teaching us on the jam and we are watching him. So we’re learning from him, too.”

“Oh yeah, by far,” Harris said. “He’s very good -- and tough. He kind of reminds me of Richard Marshall a little bit in just his aggressiveness.”

Considering Munnerlyn hasn’t even played in a preseason game for the Panthers that quite a compliment from a veteran like Harris

I guess we can thank the raiders for this pick..

Gamble, Marshall, Martin, Munnerlyn, Wilson sounds like a talented group. Im not sure they'll cut Wesley though, he seems like a Fox guy and is money on ST. However Fox could go with the talent>experience on this one and cut Wesley. I think the cuts are going to come out from the safety's, wide receivers, and possibly a LB.

Salley or Teal will get cut, and possibly a back up FS will get cut. Wilson could slide in at FS, and could stay on the roster as a corner or FS. If needed, Martin could play safety if we needed him to this year, but he will be the primary nickel.

I think Salley is on the way out. I've had high hopes for him since he got here but the injury bug took his chance, plus it didn't seem like he really impressed that much. In order to keep the guys we don't want to lose I could see it like this.

CB

Gamble

Marshall

Martin

Munnerlyn

Wilson

IF we are really tight for space and want to keep Wesley I could see the safety's like

Godfrey

Harris

Teal

Wilson/Martin/Wesley

Come to think of it I think Wesley is probably gone. There's too much talent to cut guys like Wilson or Munnerlyn and we already have to worry about DT and the WRs. I'm worried about back up SS though. Salley is the only one really close to Harris's skill set and Salley hasn't proven to be good.

you know what, im probably calling this one a little too early, but on 3 CB sets I would like to see Gamble and Captain on the outsides, and Marshall on the nickel spot, but only for 3 cb sets. I havnt seen Captain play yet, but I think Marshall could do better as a nickel back. I guess were going to have to wait and see how things play out.

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
