Week 2 Power Rankings

To be fair, some of the ones where we're still ranked toward the bottom had us rise like seven spots. Yes, the original ranking was off, but they can't move us from like, 25 to 5 for example.

Exactly.  That would be like admitting they were completely wrong.  A strong showing with Cam at the helm will show an even more significant jump.

When they haven't updated it? It's only the fans here who are presenting it as such. Besides going into week one everyone on here thought the oline will be bad. Let's wait and see when it's updated before we crucify them.

Not crucifying them, but all the other major outlets have updated.  They're lagging.

The one I am referring to, is Fox Sports, and it has been updated. I talked about the good play of Benjamin, and the last line referenced the poor play of our revamped offensive line.

If someone had actually watched the game, they should have been praising the surprisingly good showing of our O-line.

That's the reason for the lazy reporting and a copy and paste media comments,

You're wrong actually. It was just updated and there was no mention of offensive line struggles.

Fox updated it.

8. Carolina Panthers

"The Panthers proved the offseason doubters wrong by winning in a similar fashion to many of their wins from 2013. They boast one of the most dominant front sevens in the league in any defensive scheme. The additions of Kelvin Benjamin and Jerricho Cotchery will keep the passing game relevant."

King is probably the only analyst that actually watched our game.  Sadly.

Traveling to TB... playing a division rival in 100+ degree humidity.. a  rival that most of the media pundits were kissing the ass of this entire offseason...and had a crushing defensive performance and won the game WITH our back-up qb in there.

Media loves good offensive/poor defensive games though.   "High scoring games".

My bad. Thanks for update. I guess I was thrown off by a media outlet actually giving our WRs props before the season started.

All the doom and gloom "the Panthers are going to suck because they lost all their receivers from 2013" , has got some of us on the defensive.

    • I honestly wish Julius Peppers had gotten sick of some of Steve's bullshit and put him on his ass. Because I honestly think that was the one guy Steve wanted no part of.
    • Just worry about it next year.  Its that simple honestly.  its way to early to do what ifs.  I could see us trade/cut chuba and retain dowdle, I could see them let dowdle walk and go with Chuba/Etienne and Brooks, and I could see Dowdle and Chuba both stay and see what happens.  Hell, we still have 6 games left THIS season plus possible post-season...what if Rico or Chuba have an ACL tear or severe injury.  I DO NOT want that to happen, but stuff like that does happen.  Remember RB is the most injury prone position in the NFL due to the beating their bodies take so having some extra guys is never bad, just wish it hadn't come at the cost we paid to get him.
    • I think it’s cool that no one can be really certain what the outcome will be.  That’s a lot of progress! This is a real opportunity for us, I’d be happy with a competitive game and thrilled if we sack up for a W.
