OK, let's talk about the Lions

Like you said, the key will be pressuring Stafford and not letting him escape the pocket. If he scrambles and is able to heave it to Megatron, look out.

On offense I'd like to see methodical drives to keep their offense off the field. That is how you beat great offenses.  We also must win the turnover battle.  If we can get him rattled early, Stafford will throw the ball to us.  We must capitilize like we usually do and get the ball back.

I just said it other thread but I'll say in again in this one.

I know it was about three years ago but our defense did a good job containing Megatron compared to other defenses.

Even though Stafford had a field day against us with 335 yards 5 tds and 2 int, Megatron only had 5 rec for 89 yards

and no tds and that was with Gamble, Munnerlyn, Godfrey and Sherrod Martin as our secondary. We also didn't

have Luke, Davis, Star or KK helping out that season. The 2011 season was also the best our offense has been for

awhile but I believe we are even better this year.

Their run game wasn't impressive at all. They only started to get yards when the defense was gassed in the 4th because the offense couldn't stay on the field.

Their receiving corps are monsters. Megatron re-established why he is still the best WR in the league, and I honestly think Tate is good enough to be a #1 option on most teams. However, their TEs don't scare me. As a UNC fan, I know the talent that Ebron has, but he's always had issues with drops and concentration and I think it's going to take him a while to get adjusted to the speed of the league.

Stafford, while he is without a doubt a good QB, still makes several boneheaded plays. Any defense worth its salt would have picked off that horrendous throw (running to his left, throwing across his body while on the run) that became Megatron's 2nd touchdown.

If we can harass Stafford with our front 4 and bracket Megatron, I think we have a very good shot at winning this game.

Thats the key, we just gotta keep or ToP up and run them into submission. If there offense isn't on the field can't put up 400 yards. Defensively we just need that front four to bring the pressure. Barring unmentioned setbacks CJ and GH should be nearly full strength this game. They were both oh so close so many times vs. T.

Plus... I think with that win last week BoA is going to be "Saints game last year loud." its up to the players to keep them feeding the cycle of energy back onto the field and I mean what game was it? KC this preseason? Panthers fans brought the noise.

The biggest thing in the secondary is just not letting Johnson or Tate to get behind our safeties. Keep the routes short.

Like I said on offense we just gotta get the run game churning, with the fourth horsemen back and hell even through in some Fozzy we should be able to do that quite nicely.

The giants were just terrible. Mediocre DL especially inside.

Outside of Beason, who the hell were the other two LBs?

DRC should've just retired after the SB. He clearly isn't the player he used to be in Arizona anymore. Either that or he doesn't live the game like he used to. I remember Del Rio having to consider if DRC was still committed to football or something like that before the Broncos signed him last offseason.
